See and Sail on The Real Lynx at St Petersburg Florida

This weekend the Lynx will be at St Petersburg Florida for sailing cruises. Asking now if there will be a public tour. If there is I will get pictures and video for you and post it if I go.

I was lucky enough to see her and her big(ger) sister the Pride of Baltimore II at the Tall Ship Philadelphia/Camden festival.

 

As I recall, her crew informed me that A: the original lynx would have been bigger; more similar in size to the Pride, and B: that the original was actually a Double Topmast Schooner, unlike the replica which is a Single Topsail.

I have sailed on the Lynx before and would recommend it if they are doing sailing tours. Worth the extra $ over just a deck tour. They may even fire the carronades!  Should be good wind in St. Pete this time of year too.
