victor Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) I'm a total dummy in these kind of things. I would like someone to explain me how I can put a video (let's say a youtube one) in the post of the forum. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Edited March 16, 2016 by victor
Tomms123 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 If it's a youtube link you can just paste the link in chat and a player will appear for it. But I suggest that you put the command so it don't take up so much space (spoiler is written like this [spoiler***][***/spoiler] but without the *** in it )
victor Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) thanks for your help. You said to past the link "in chat", but I was talking about a forum post, so you meant to paste the link directly in the post? Edited March 16, 2016 by victor
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 That usually works - if the link is the full youtube.com link, often the forum software will pick it up and put the video inline automatically when the link itself is put into the post.
Tomms123 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Yeah I meant the window you write the text in on the forum And what Henry wrote ^^
Captain Boneboys Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) I'm not sure how these Forums are set up but some IPB 3x have difficulty in auto detecting vids so... Copy the address bar of the YT link (not the copy option), highlight the link and wrap using the Special BBCode (3rd icon top left) and choose the Media tag from the drop down box. Will look like this : *media**blabla vid*/media-* * = [ or ] Might help, might not. Edited March 16, 2016 by Captain Boneboys
