Enrique el Navegante Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Good day. This is a relation of my suggestions to make this game ever better. 1.- IMPROVE THE REAL WORLD NAVIGATION SYSTEM You can do it in this way: take out the F11 noon watch or limit it to an upgrade (sextant upgrade for example) or limit the times you can query in a day. Add any kind of bulding (watchtower, lighthouses, etc) in places like atolls, capes, etc with the name (or coordinates) just painted on them. Allow using the spyglass in Open world mode to see landmarks add a bearing compass to be able to take bearings from your ship to the landmarks. Improve the map window (in an ancient style) adding some tools like black an red pen, a drawing compass, a ruler (like in Silent hunter series) but without automarking your position 1
sacapus Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Lighthouse should be present in OW, great navigational tool especially in foggy weather. 1
Potemkin Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 +1 for the lighthouse idea, but maybe only for regional capitals and nation capitals, cookie cutter lighthouses in every port seems somewhat repetitive. Might be able to make nation specific designs for them. Either way its more of a cosmetic change, i wouldn't expect any action on it for awhile.
CptEdwardKenway Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 If they were in the caribbean yes. If not then no.
Jean Ribault Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 +1 for lighthouses, but as mentioned above, a sprinkling of them throughout the OW, not at every port. The ruling nation's flag should fly above the lighthouse.
Capn Hornigold Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I really like the lighthouse and using the spyglass in OW idea. I think the map UI will get updated, taking in consideration that the UI is just test UI at the moment.
