Scout Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Good day I´m starting to see a problem effecting game play with the issue of undefended ports being flip´t day after day aka farming ports. My question is simple is that really what we want this game to be ? There is also the point of big ally´s changing ownership of ports that will further the Eve mentality in to this game and for me that´s not a thing i want to see. It might be a idea that undefended ports get a defense in ratio of the of how many ports each country has. The idea is that Ai fleet will show up if there no one or few players defending and the AI will only join when joining timers are up. And to even it out big nations depending on how many ports each has the get lower br Ai´s that show up when the joining timer is up. Another idea is that players can give the ports ships to use for defense if no players show up.
Ronald Speirs Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Isnt a bad proposal till the rework it to get abit of flavor to port battles and stop the constant change of hands, could hire defensive fleets to help defend them just like what we have with our small cutter fleets at start, they have a certain amount of durability and will need maintaining if they are always in battles, but like you said there has to be a join timer before the defensive AI fleet is implemented so that way it gives players a chance to try gather a defence, this would be be a slight improvement till they do the major overhaul, should take 5 hours to flip a port and then make the battle a few days later to promote more teamwork and filled battles for more enjoyable gameplay.
