JeanJacques de Montpellier Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 As in the title said, remove AI renforcements suggestion. I think that make this change will facilitate the PvP actions. To date, it is very difficult to go in free hunting, precisely because of the AI reinforcements. I honestly don't understand the need for them, as a player eventually attacked in him territories may be helped by other players (close to him) and not boots. It would be so to create a breeding ground for teamwork, cooperation between players, a better use of the national chat, etc. In short, more fun for everyone. I suggestion keep however the AI reinforcements only for trader ships. 2
Grundal Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 A good suggestion. AI reinforcement zone should be smaller and when Land is introduced the AI reinforcements should just be the shore guns and fort guns. PvP now is a game of don't attack first if both fleets are in reinforcement zones. Not sure about the reinforcements for traders. It could work? Make things better.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Reinforcements are tied to BR. If you attack with less BR the opponent cannot call in reinforcements. This means you will not be able to jump anyone with a full group without having to be faced with reinforcements. Also 2 minutes can be short for support to arrive while a group of corsairs will attack all in a tight pack. So solutions is to workout your BR and go hunting.
Wolfar Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I think the reinforcements should stay just the way they are. My 2 cents worth.
Capt. Rice Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Yea cant wait for map update so we can have coastal def and not this mirror fleet thing.
Tennessee88 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Capitals and the area around them should allow new players to call in reinforcements. Outside of that, I really hate NPC reinforcements and want them gone. Had a major port battle yesterday for Fredericksted on PVP2. British invasion fleet and French fought over the actual port, while Royal Navy squadrons responsible for screening actions had engagements with French reinforcements and their Swedish allies. It became an obnoxious fest of French players constantly calling in reinforcements to tie up the screening vessels and make it pass us. Don't blame them, its a perfectly reasonable game mechanic. But it really took away from what was becoming compelling game play.
