SKurj. Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) Perhaps a crazy idea.. perhaps not... At least while we have the current mechanic, why not add a fee for players to join port battles....? When buying the flag, the player has the choice to log as a clan purchase or individual purchase. When choosing Clan purchase, the player sets a price for non-clan members to be able to join the fight, be it a percentage of the flag cost or a token amount.. or perhaps even the ability to lockout non-members.. When choosing as an individual purchase allow the player to be able to choose a cost per player that cannot exceed the cost of the flag, or any lesser amount. (Edit, the total cost charged for players cannot exceed the flag cost.. ie: flag/25) What do you think? Edited April 7, 2016 by BungeeLemming
xAzDKr Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Port Battle entry fees are an interesting way to balance out Port Battles, they encourage teamplay, organization, etc. and also contribute to the balancing of the economy. To an extent, they can also help to prevent trolls who enter and exit a battle to waste a spot.
Vllad Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 So if our best players just bought a new ship and we get attacked we now can't have them in the fight because they are strapped for cash? So now we need to grind cash to save a port? I am not clear what you are trying to accomplish with this idea but it sounds quite irritating for the player.
Quineloe Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 for a 600k port, that entry fee would be 24k. That is a lot of money to shoot some towers.
