Stealthems Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I have no idea if this has been posted before but I thought about a sort of refitting feature where say you craft a fir basic 3rd rate and you want an exceptional oak 3rd rate in the future but dont have the level to craft it at exceptional level or you just accidentally craft the ship in a different wood type, you could par say upgrade your fir basic 3rd rate with either a set price and resource cost to do the upgrade aswell as have full dura for it to be possible aswell as the crafting level to apply the upgrades if you want to increase the quality. Thoughts would be nice on this though.
xAzDKr Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Changing wood types would involve crafting literally an entirely new hull...
Porpoise Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 If this is possible, you can remove all the random factors from crafting. Now it is like lottery and I like it.
CaptBligh Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I think some kind of refit would be a good idea. However, you would either have to have the necessary crafting level yourself or, pay a player to do so. This could even spawn a shipyard business for some crafters. Re-fits should take time, as they did in the real world.
