Are you sure they didnt press the wrong button?

Ive teleported a few times "in house" and in OW since the patch w/o any issues.

I ported to an outpost post patch and didn't loose it. Haven't ported back to the capitol though. I'll check it after work and report it if it is still true.

Care to show a screenshot of a delete button on the open world UI? OP clearly states "teleporting a ship to capital"

This issue is real. It happens when you teleport from outpost to capital so with no ship. In that case the teleport button deletes your capital outpost and all you have there. I do not know if it is systematic or tied to other factors but a clan mate of mine lost all his stuff in capital this way on patch day.

I noticed there was a stealth patch this morning, I suppose it could have beeb a fix for this?

Nope the big red warning that comes with that is obvious enough not to miss it. That's what I dismissed it as when my clan mate brought it up but this is the second thread on this issue since patch on bere so something is fishy,...
