Ian2492 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Please make it so that when you board someone, the pulling continues even after the boarding combat screen opens up. Otherwise ships stray a bit and boarding gets interrupted. It's very frustrating. It's not like crews would cut the grapple before going into combat, the two ships are still tied together. 3
TommyShelby Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Thaaank you Ian. My god am i tired of that shite xD +1! 1
Captain Boneboys Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I don't believe "bug" is the correct term to be used here. Good positioning is all important when attempting to aboard the adversaire, what you are experiencing is an attempt by the enemy to escape a difficult and perilous situation. Happens rarely in my experience so I would consider it a feature and a very good addition to enhance gameplay, not a bug. May need fine tuning but all in all works very well, imho !

I'm not sure you understand what i'm talking about here. Often when you're boarding someone it will pull both ships alongside each other, and then as soon as the screen pops up one of the two ships drifts slowly away as if it's been cut off of the other, and the boarding gets auto-interrupted because of the distance. There is no skill or decision process involved. I'm not saying the pulling gets interrupted (that's fine) but the actual boarding combat. Either making it so pulling lasts until both ship reach 0 knots, or that the pulling keeps pulling until boarding is over. Graples are NOT cut when people jump on the enemy ship. This is clearly a bug, if it's a feature i'll eat my hat. Edited March 9, 2016 by Ian2492
TommyShelby Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Had 2 ships lie next to each other with no sails set (one was demasted to 0%). The 1 ship tried to engage the other in boarding. 5 times in a row the boarding was interrupted. (Notice, none of the ships were moving...) 1
