Captain Tylor Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 makes it rather hard to deliver justice to the traitors in pirates.... 1
Toothless Jack Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Completely agree. If you want more pirate v pirate action as planned they should be able to join both sides.
Pagan Pete Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Because pyrates who start fights with other pyrates are TRAITORS who deserver a slow death by keel-hauling! Yarrr har har! Plenty other fish in the sea. No need to attack each other when all the nations want us dead. Edited March 6, 2016 by Pagan Pete
Leviathan Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 As far as I know it's to somewhat limit trolling and excessive organized ganking of fellow pirates.
Long Beard Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Because pyrates who start fights with other pyrates are TRAITORS who deserver a slow death by keel-hauling! Yarrr har har! Plenty other fish in the sea. No need to attack each other when all the nations want us dead. Indeed, but I think the MadGleo means a pirate starting a fight with a known traitor and others not being able to join fight against said traitor. For example, even if sailing as a group, the current mechanic means that if we spot a traitor or a pirate on the balck list, and we attack, the aggressor would enter the battle, and the rest of us in the fleet would end up on the traitors side and against our fellow comrade.
Admiral 8Q Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Pirates are not a "Nation". Pirates are pirates, scum, , rascals, naives and villains. If some pirates want to band up, that makes sense. A "traitor" in piracy is only one that saw a better deal somewhere else. Pirates don't have loyalty in mind, generally, just self gain. This argument about pirates is misunderstood. Privateers are the freelancers that will go where they please, more like mercenaries, often with honour, or at least with a heavy bag of gold to be loyal.
Tindahbawx Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Definately needs fixed, currently only being able to join on the defenders side is unhelpful if it's the defender that you want dead. 1

I think I may have been wrong about this. It would appear that when in a group, the aggressor can enter as a group rather than an individual. Only tested vs AI missions, not vs pirate so I could be wrong.
