I play this game for 2 weeks now, being an old hand with MMO / MMORPG. But one thing is furiating me, that is hate speach in the national channel (I play pirates on pvp 1).Some users tend to be really agressive, showing how much spunk they have by using foul or profane language, but what really pushed me over the edge was a posting that some guy did couple of minutes ago: Quote: "What is the difference between pizza and a jew in the oven? The jew screams when he is cooked." (unfortunately I failed to find the screenshot I took, otherwise that guy would have a name) I find such behaviour not only offensive, but disgraceful. Now what I was wondering is how will you, as developers and we as a comunity handle such misbehaviour? Will such persons be banned from the game? And if, for how long are they banned? And what about other acts of offensive speach? Have you also been enraged by stupid / racist posts in the national channel of the nation you are playing? Well, I am a bit less enraged then I have been at the beginning of my post, but still, I like to discuss this topic with you. 1

Heibges Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Switch to France. There is a lot of that in US Nation chat too with player names like "Racist White Slave Owner". I haven't heard any of that nonsense since switching to France.

Tindahbawx Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) So I guess you didnt lose family eh? or you love/honour them so much your willing to turn their murder and cremation as a further insult into an acceptable bit of humour. needless to say as 137+ members of my family were thusly treated by the Germans..I dont find it at all amusing... My family got a bit of black humor mileage out of my grandads cancer after he passed away from it. Some people just have a darker sense of humor than others, if you can't laugh about some situations you'll just wallow in sorrow. Kids these days!As for it happening in EU PVP1 Pirate Chat, I'm surprised by the OP's statement that it's rife. Other than some homophobic chat I witnessed when I first started playing, I've found the EU Pirate community to be quite friendly. The odd bit of line crossing here and there but nothing frequent. Is he talking about US PVP1 by any chance?
