I was sailing in enemy waters in my Trincomalee when my internet connection dropped, I'm not sure why it happened. I rebooted my router but that still didn't fix the problem. After a while it comes back online and I find that my ship which stays in game for 10 minutes after a connection is lost has been attacked and sunk by someone during the time my internet was down. Obviously this was something totally out of my control, and I find it very unfair to myself, but I understand why the 10 minute timer is there: to dissuade combat logging. I would like to request a roll back to regain my lost durability on my Trinc. My character name is Loquacious Larry

Im sorry that happened but your ISP is the  one at fault...not NA  so its very unlikely that they would even do a roll back just for you. But best of lucks and hope that it can be resolved.

I dont belive rollbacks for single accounts is not possible, i also belive that even if it was in this case it wouldnt be appropriate as it could just as well have been you who cut the connection, no way to proove which it is as far as i am aware(nothing against you or anything, but if we do it now, it could open the flood gates)

Understandable, but why would I have cut my connection if I knew about the timer?? To do so would be to simply guarantee my demise. As it was, this was an issue totally out of my control, and thus I find it unfair to myself as a player to suffer arbitrary consequences for doing nothing.

The thing is a person could cut his connection when he is getting ganked and he is in say his victory, then go to the forums and say "i lost connection and was attacked, could i get my victory back", i think you can see why this is easily abusable.

Certainly we would not insinuate that is what you were doing, simply saying that is why such a policy were to exist, it could certainly be taken advantage of. At the end of the day, the biggest issue is that it simply isn't practical for a small studio to filter through each case and make such a determination.

As someone who has lost hard earned assets in games thanks to a useless ISP, I sympathize. Afraid it is simply a burden we have to bear.
