Amendus Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 So I was thinking about the progress of the game, its going really well and I do have to give credits to the devs for working their asses off! But I was thinking about community 3d ships etc. back in my 3d experimenting days i ended up on the planetside forums, they have a project that releases players 3d made helmets etc in the cash store. My point: Would it help if players made ship models? It could speed up ship types (especially for trader ships). All ships should be approved by the devs ofcourse but this could take alot of work out of the devs hands and outsource it to the community. This would also help alot with ship variations etc.
Arvenski Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 There are already at least a few ship models made by players. However, as far as I know, none of them have been confirmed to have been approved by the devs for implementation into the game yet.
BungeeLemming Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Niagara is the prime example of player made ships. There will be more for sure. Check the shipyard section for more detail.
Amendus Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Didnt know that, but maybe we could make a post in the shipyard where people can see they can help providing models for the game! lets motivate this community
