Hi,

I would like to suggest that after a next map reset / wipe all nations get the same amount of cities as a start, regardless of historical correctness. Just to give each nation the same starting chance and possibilities!

You could also definde victory conditions and when they are met a nation is declared the winner, then the map is reset and all start over again with a new campaign.

Or You just say a map/campaign runs lets say 2 months real life time and then a winner is declared counting the numbers of ports each nation has. After that there is a reset and a fresh start.

So every player can decide if they want to play for another nation in the next campaign. Clans and nations can try different strategies and tactics with a new campaign.

Just some ideas...

Restarting the map is a poor man's mechanic. What we need is dynamic system that either lets ports flip back to neutral or suppressed nations to spring back to life.

What about having like 3 capitals spread at the "home-territory" as a starting base, rest is neutral. These 3 ports have the basic resources to do the crafting to a certain level. So, when a nation (like SWE in PVP1) is reduced to the three capitals its easier to cennect them again to a home territory by winning 1-2 port battles.

there is no planed map reset and i don't think that there will be one. if they do a map reset they will also have to do a account one which will mean people will lose there ships, gold and ex/leave. this is not so bad for all of us older players who have beaning playing since sea trials or OW but if you are new to the game and you get reset when you just get the rank to get a new ship you will be a bit pissed.

we will see in time but it is looking unlikely at this point in time.

It's rather sure to happen. Who in their right minds would release a game out of early access with a game over state for some nations?

If all the ports start as neutral, we might as well play as Japan, India and Australia, not the current nations.

I like this idea. Would play as India, 10/10.

If they were going to mess with starting ports they should make them proportional to the playerbase of each nation, this way nations would have a good chance on holding the ports they have, as opposed to nations starting with a ton of ports but not having the players to defend them (sorry Spain, looking at you).

just before it was released again we where told that this is going to be the last reset for a long long time. this gives it a realistic look and more like it would have bean.

Australia would be the powerhouse nation !!

this would be realy hard for the deves to import and Ausy is not a nation at this point in time.

and NZ would be the powerhouse if so sorry Ausy scum

It should be based on player population so that the ports a Nation has can actually be defended. I am looking at you poor Spain.... starting with tons of ports and without the players to defend them.
