Hello! How about that:

1. In some cases I find that it would be much better to be able NOT to zoom when aiming for broadside shot. Make it so you can adjust the zoom level, from basic view to .. lets say.. 2x the current zoom while aimed with the mouse scroll. And auto-save the zoom level chosen by the player, so the next time he aims for broadside, it zooms exactly as his last calibration before exiting fire mode. This way, you will be able to see much more when fighting close range, and if u choose to aim precisely for long shot.. you will be even more view limited.

2. As you all noticed, when you fire all guns, the aiming dash disappears instantly. Yes, you can adjust horizontally your hits with the rudder, but you cant adjust vertically. Why not make it so, when you fire, the dash stays and you can elevate/drop your guns in the firing process? Tired of missing almost all of your shots cause you cant correct ? Here is a solution. You may think its a little bit noob friendly suggestion, but I think it works both ways ;)

Thoughts ?

Dumbing down the aiming for those who found it hard before has already taken place, we have 2 lines and a shaded area leading each cannon to the enemy, it is a simple task to land shots with practice and the use of a ranging shot, any miss because the swell of the sea lifting or dropping at last minute is part of the game i feel. If myself and many others can knock down masts by placing single cannon shots repeatedly to the mast, it surely doesn't need to be made any easy than it already is.

Throw enough shit at the wall and eventually some will stick :) Shoot a lot of broadsides fairly well aimed at the masts/sails and eventually they will drop. You don't need to be a highly skilled marksman for that.
