Belle poule vs Frigate

What one should I buy and what's the major differences?

Depends do you like bigger guns .....Frigate

Do you like tankyness?                     Belle Poul

 

The Belle poul does not have bow chaser like the Frigate has.

Frigate can have 18pounders

Belle Poul is easier when taking in the wind.

I thought Belle could take 18 pounders too? And she also has +1 gun on her middle deck but -1 on the top deck, but thats a bonus because middle deck can hold higher pound cannon (excuse my lack of knowledge for word) she also has better turning. I'd definetly go with Belle Poule

Belle can only use 12 pders and i actually feel like the frigate turns faster.. (belle is still faster sailing though)

for PVE, you use carronades and both can mount same size, so Belle is much better.
