Capture of Surrendered Ship

I jumped a opponent on PvP2 sailing a trader brig last night.  He immediately surrendered from the fight (i did not even get a chance to shoot him with chain shots or board him).  I was not however given the chance to capture the ship.  The [X] did not appear.  Nor did i get the ship listed in the post battle report screen.

 

Anyone else have this issue, or is it a one off fluke?

i believe atm its bugged bc if you surrender it acts as if you sank them.....they lose durability you get win but with out goods

Thank you Cpt Rice.  Well that was an overly easy way out for that pirate.  I wanted that cargo, and that ship.

You can imagine that he was a nasty fellow who chose to sacrifice it all (ship, cargo, crew) rather than giving you the satisfaction of capturing his ship. He skuttled it.
