Sarversauce Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 There's far too much Fog in the game. It doesn't make sense. Especially the Fog that surrounds the player all of the time. It needs to be removed. Or, at least severely reduced.
Excelsior718 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 No. Fog is part of the ocean world. I like fog. It helps me hide from enemies. It adds some interest and mystery to the experience.
poison Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I'm assuming you're coming from the "I can't see where I'm going" camp, to which I have to reply "oh well". If it's a problem, sail closer to the shore. The fog is fair and accurate. There is no "need" to remove or severely reduce the fog -- as snake said, it adds mystery. This game is about realism; fog greatly limited vision on the seas, and occurs far more often and is far more thick on the sea than on land. I for one support the fog and what it does. It's an accurate immersion factor that doesn't need tweaked to any great extent.
Macjimm Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I like fog. And rain. And storms. And sunny blue sky days. Variety is interesting. I wish it would get dark on moonless nights though. Sigh. Don't know what the Caribbean is like in real life but I hear that air pollution has resulted in a haze the world over that just wasn't there even 50 years ago. Wonder if there was better visibility in the 1700s.
mandrake Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I support fog as well those random encounters with enemy fleets are VERY EXCITING. plus why ruin the game for many to please a few. hell forget fog for a bit Bring back 20 foot waves.... as far as i am concerned if it happens in real life it should happen in this game.. one thing that should also happen randomly but people will hate is complete for the win to stop completly happens all the time in real world so why not ingame i understand it is not a winner in players wanting to get some where fast but ha many sailors died due to these sorts of events we should honor there memory
