PVE as well.

We need a Trader

Looking out for a Trader to attack in the Night.

A Brig or a Lynx with no guns who can't run

That you can take in not so fair a Fight

(sung to the chorus of "We Need a Hero")

But, yeah, that's how my mind works.

I saw a TON of AI (a lot with contraband) on the routes between Bone Cay, Bugle Cay and Pedro Cay yesterday. Didn't  see any players ever in that area so I assume that's why. Other areas are probably all "fished out".  :)

And I am on PVP2 NA.

I agree with you. If there is a couple hundred players swarming around an area like piranhas, when an A.I. fleet or traders comes near you get like 13 players all jumping on it in a feeding frenzy.

Its not hard to find AI Even if you have the higher population nation you just have to move from deep in your own territory to the edge of where you ports meet other nation ports.

I am on the PvE server and had no problems finding traders to abduct yesterday up till midnight. In fact has I was taking one trader full of ill gotten gains to my outpost and I saw about three other contraband traders in Brigs on the way. And sometimes during those three days I had contraband traders right outside my outpost.

The thing is, I'm nowhere near my capitol, Port Royal. In fact it takes about an hour to and hour and a half travel time to get to my outpost. And in the past three days I have only seen about a handful of players (from different nations) in the area I hunt traders.

So it might be like someone has already wrote concerning over fishing. You want to see AI ships? Move away from the capitol.

We had similar problem last week on the PvE server. One evening there were just next to no npc's around regardless of where we went on the map. Next day things were better. I suspect something like an NPC spawning service on the server failed.

Must've been a server issue. Traffic seemed normal today.

It wasn't just the densely populated areas either... I sailed for 2 hours along the Gulf Coast, saw one player and 2 at warships... That was it. Quite strange, but all was back to normal today.
