maddog0606 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I really want to know because I am thinking about turning Pirate on the PvE server. Yes, I know I might get made fun of for asking this question. Don't worry, you wont hurt my feelings, I'm a big boy. But I am really not into PvP in this game with it being in alpha and I do want to fly the Black Flag. I may never go PvP in this game. I got my fill of cut throat PvP in EVE. Is it worth it being a pirate on the PVE server? Is it interesting? I know being a Pirate will not let me into Neutral Towns. I will have only access to Free Towns and Pirate ports. Is this the only difference between being a Pirate and being a Brit? If I want to craft later after turning Pirate is it a bad thing if I do not have access to Neutral Ports?
maturin Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Absolutely. There are plenty of free towns that you can visit, and pirates have the widest-possible selection of NPCs to fight. You may find crafting resources to be expensive, however.
Admiral 8Q Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I don't want to hurt your feelings. Never would want to do that.Yes you can do well as a pirate in PvE.I don't recommend it at this point in the game's development, however if your goal is to only pillage and loot, it would work. You can team up with any other nation if they let you. The nice thing about PvE is you are not forced to attack.
