Paul_KT Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I love the ctrl+drag option to set the position for a whole group, as you can see exactly where the units will end up, including the facing. Would it be worth allowing you to use the same system for a single brigade? You should still have the arrows because they look great, but it would help in situations where you want to see exactly where the brigade will end up, for example over cover or next to another brigade. 3
Husserl Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Though we are trying to keep the minimum possible controls in favor of simplicity, this is not a bad idea.
admin Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 we switched it off because we thought it looked ugly... but can bring it back. if more requests come
Paul_KT Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 If you were going to move the unit by left click dragging then you could keep the arrow as you have now. But give the second option of ctrl+dragging to get the placement marker. I wouldn't have the placement marker as the default as I agree, it would look ugly. But it would be great as a second option. Controls would be the same as now, you'd just be enabling for single units as well as groups. I do agree with keeping things simple, it's one of the things that attracts me to this game.
Daergar Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Definately in favor of having a secondary function on the drag n move, it irked me that I can draw nice routes yet not set the rotation of the unit as well at the end (unless I missed how to do that, obviously). On a similar note, and more important to my mind, are there plans to get a preview of the destination's cover before arriving?
TheRomanRuler Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Ugly? What? And if some important gameplay feature gets turned off becouse it looks bad, why not make it look good?
