victor Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 A pair of Noob questions 1) I noticed that when I enter into the game, it says that I accessed with a steam ID. What does this mean? That I do not need a game account (and actually I do have credential for forum but not for the game)? Or am I missing somethning? 2) I read on the forum that one can wipe the character, loosing everithing (gold, items and xp), but can reroll another character also in another faction, keeping the rank. Is it true?
Samuel van Heerden Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 As for no. 1) I an not 100% sure, I believe that should you wish to play you need a steam account as all your details are tied to it (Feel free to correct me if Im wrong anyone) and for no. 2) Yes you get to keep XP but you will loose any gold, ships and warehouse goods. As for Craft XP I believe you keep that too but im not 100% on that (Experience, Switched from Pirates to Dutch)
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Your steam account is your player account. You can play one character per server in any faction you wish. You can change faction in any one server by deleting the character and creating a new.

Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 The stuff is server only. They don't get shared between servers.
Admiral 8Q Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 The stuff is server only. They don't get shared between servers. That's what I meant. If I switch to play on another server, the stuff from the last server will still be there when I return to the original server? I know stuff doesn't transfer. But it's not lost on the other server if playing a different server for awhile? (Sorry if this is getting confusing)
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 The assets belong to the character. They are there.
Mirones Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 XP is carried over and is not restricted to server
Admiral 8Q Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 (edited) Someone answered my question in game chat.If you play on a second server, then come back to the first one, your stuff won't be erased. The same with any stuff you have on the second server will still be there if you go back there again.Even settings are server specific. Edited February 22, 2016 by Admiral 8Q
Vaz Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 So does this mean you can play 2 char's at roughly the same time, say, reach rank 4 on one server, start playing on server 2, advance to rank 6 here, and continue as rank 6 on server 1?

Give your stuff to someone you trust, then delete your character, and start over. The person you gave stuff and gold too can give it back. You will keep xp and rank, but that's it.
