jimaspergers Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 For those that don't know, XP is shared across all characters. I was very surprised to find this out, especially since it forces you to start out with 0 gold and a basic cutte, doing junior lieutenant missions. I realize that the system is in place so players won't have to grind so much when they shift factions, but players start with 0 gold and a basic cutter, having to grind using the higher-level missions that carry over with the XP levels that they have no hope of completing. As it stands, I will be unable to ever play on the NA PVP server, as the lowest level mission I can complete is junior lieutenant, which are impossible using a basic cutter with no upgrades.
Francis Tabernac Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Missions are a good way to make easy cash, but they're hardly the only way. If you've already ranked up on another server it's to be assumed you have at least some skill at handling your ship and guns, so go out and cap some NPC traders, sell their goods and ships, or go out and attack some small enemy players, etc. 1
BramtheDutch Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I reccomend that you go trading for 2 days and then by yourself a ship that fits with your rank, then you can do the junior leutenant mission.
Cmdr Thrudd Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Capping a ship to get you start will be way faster than grinding missions, put a shout out in your nations chat for some help I'm sure you'll get some offers of assistance.
