i have a question ?

why the boarding is too long when you have a big crew adventages like 300 vs 50 ? 

yous think it was réalistic ? 

 

and a last question for me when you shoot an other ship with ball, he dont loose a lot of crew ? so in reality you can loose more crew i think with the ball ?

Ball ammunition was "one shot". Sure its entirely possible, and in-game losses seem in line with this (when using Ball). Dismembered limbs were as common as a seemly beheading ...

Grape, on the otherhand, dispersed its force with hundreds of ball bearings that would rip through flesh, skull and ... well ... more flesh.

Bear in mind, that Grape has no penetration power, where ball or carronades do.

As a light tip, killing off the back armour of a ship then graping the unarmored rear causes utter destruction to the crew, I killed 388 crew in a third rate using my surprise doing this, the third rate barely touched me.
