Alesfred Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I like the navigation as is, its part of the history to me, what I find missing is land features seen from the sea. They would of had some written accounts of land features seen from the sea. ridges, mountains. Maybe the map could put noticeable features mountain top elevation marks etc. Alesfred
Prater Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Obiquiet did a few of these very impressive drawings, but I think they were done before the current change in topography and might be out of date: 5
ObiQuiet Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Hmm... if we automated the conversion of a screen shot to produce this drawn style, would people be willing to contribute to a Coastal Pilot type catalog? And get name credit, of course. Or even without the styling, just a catalog of port approach images? Realism: High Gameplay: Neutral? 5
Alesfred Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 Now thats an idea, the Devs would only have to provide support for their web page. Screen shots are the most practical, but I really like the sketches but that is a lot of work. 1
Admiral 8Q Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 What a cool idea! Hand-drawn sketches based on screen shots! I love it!

I think this should be a player-based contribution for all those artists out there that want to contribute. I'd do some sketches.
