Tag of clan is bad

what does this refer to?  Our Digital Combat Simulator group is trying to open a clan in Naval Action but keep getting this error.... 

 

Clan name = Dogs of War

Short Desc = DoW

Desc = Salty dogs catching new winds.

 

Does this imply the clan name is taken?  Does this reply to the abbreviated term?
