dude we are in Alpha, there are TONS of features not yet implemented... you'd think someone drawn to a game with a slow pace like this would not be bored so quickly. Also you have to wait for people to start getting the biggest ships so that the economy can settle.

Lastly, GET OVER IT... why do you care that some people are spending more time grinding for XP? WHO CARES! Some people will do this, some people won't. Its ok for some people to have larger ships... just do your thing and don't worry about everyone else. I say this as playing as Sweden where we are heavily outnumbered and out gunned at every opportunity.

Thank you for further comments on this matter, I appreciate your opinions.

I have been told several times in this discussion and in other discussions I have raised this game is a pvp. This game is NOT sold as a pvp game. check the steam sales description ( http://store.steampowered.com/app/311310 ) The game is described as an open world sandbox game which means go anywhere and play on your own or with friends. But you all say I must play in teams and against other players. You like that I am very happy for you but I am asking for the developers to live up on their description and it is not only me. Don't believe me, think land in battles is way better and more popular, look at the poll

http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/7978-development-plans-prioritization-proposals-and-feedback/

You can see three major game management proposals including mission development for exploration and delivery are way ahead of 'land in battles' for what players want. And who cares? I care, all those people who have voted care, the developers should care. We are speaking but are they listening? And lastly, if you don't care then things don't get improved and isn't improvement what everyone wants?

Thanks again :)

Keep in mind that the open world came from player votes and suggestions. Originally, this game was built around instanced fights exclusively as we had in sea trials. The core development of the game such as the sailing mechanics and combat revolved around dynamic pvp. The result of that is very deep pvp combat and is where the game truly shines. Often, it's about mechanics that put players in situations that promote those types of palm sweating fights.

I think we are in a transition area now where it's finishing up the fine-tuning of that side and planning and developing for the future. Constructive feedback, positive or negative, is always welcome and encouraged. I'm as hardcore pvp as they come, but I'd like to see an enriched world as well. I wouldn't mind taking a break from pvp occasionally to do some fishing :)

Really, if this game was just about arena fight with ships, like WoT or others moba, i'd never buy it... Dev team make a great work and now NA is a OW mmo game with an incredible potential, and i feel, very strong foundations... Can't wait to see all features and the final game :)

One thing we all need to remember in my opinion is that team behind this game is quite small. Thats reason the UI looks like that - they have no manpower to spare to constantly fiddle with it before it will be more or less set. Right now team is working on land in battles, and as it will be direct OW-battle transition, no some artificial "arenas with islands", thats quite a big task, which influences hugely main part of current game - battles. On top of that, they are working on introduction of player owned production buildings - base of player driven economy, that should be a huge boost for crafters and traders (due to intended bonuses coming from specialization in production). And they still need to fix bugs, balance things and add new ships and stuff, coz otherwise "content hunters" will be disapointed.

So yes, we need much bigger diversity in missions, we need exploration (I voted for that myself), we need some in game tutorials and help screens, we need tons of new content before this game will be able to leave "alpha" stage and I do believie we will get that, we just need to be patient. Devs mentioned that they are aiming for "content" patches every month, first one is announced, lets see if they will be able to keep up.

That's the spirit. :)

The PvE part of the game would be wasted if it's the current max 550 and average 300 ish players there only.

Besides: aiming at "hardcore" pvp only will never give Naval Action the number of players this game deserves.

More PvE players = more moving to PvP, too

All the more important than: getting their priorities right. Atm it looks to me focus is on the gaming experience of the already existing "hardcore" players and little is done to make the game more attractive to new and casual players.

The devs are doing a fantastic job and plenty more content is coming that's not combat based, eg production and buildings.

Also its a multiplayer game so a lot of things you want can be achieved just by using your imagination and chat channels....

Ask your local crafters what resources they want... Get out there find them and bring them for them. Hire players as escorts if you are worried about enemy players attacking your trader.

Also don't expect his content growth in a mere couple of weeks. As you say it's early access. Log off take a chill and come back in a few weeks of you are flagging.

BTW I totally agree with you about all the people desperate to get to the "top" level and ship. For me that's not what this is about at all. It's very early days and I can't wait to watch this develop.

For one thing the map has only just really started now that most neutral ports are gone. Another week or so and we shall really see what develops in the PVP sense...

I am bored. Very bored.

I have been playing for two weeks only and the game has already lost its sparkle. A believe me it had a great sparkle to start with.

[..]

You are right, the game is rather one dimensional if you only do single player stuff but it is a great enabler if you join a clan and join in on the national effort.

Lots of fun to be had there, including awesome battles that will keep you entertained, unfortunately the game doesn't yet steer you in that direction.

...then switch to a PvE server? I am confused how does this factor, if you don't want PvP don't use the PvP server.

"Being told that I should join a clan, level up as quick as possible in order to play the game, is not how it is sold on Steam."

The game is advertised as a MMO. Clans and groups are expected, at least to most with common sense.
Granted this game has such a lack of diversity when it comes to missions and leveling up.. I remember when we didn't even have missions.. or outposts... I am sure they are conjuring up some cool ideas currently, and the community are rather good on voicing opinions and having a realistic dicussion.. maybe just wait it out if you do not like what you are seeing so far, worse that happens is you miss some new updates and have to learn what you've missed, but besides that I am certain the Devs will update on time with substantial knowledge of future content..

People dont understand that they buy a alpha and invest in a game. It is ALPHA it says in the steam description that it is early acces.

Alpha= the very first building stages of a game.

So dont be negative please. Maybe read the description before when you buy a  game.

Suggestion are always welcome for new content instead of talking it down.

this i didn't know I do not think the combat is fleshed out enough to warrant it exclusively I find alot of the fun comes from the virtual world progression through seizure of ports and attaining resources, I do love my management games. Kudos for taking on the bolder task and not falling into that god awful trap like all those f2p like warthunder and world of tanks/ships/planes.

That said time compression probably could be boosted and everything else tuned with it (open battle entry times) cause the travel time is waaaaaay too much, this game is exactly like a second job as fun as it is. Also hope you folks also don't throw off the value of having a visual crew based upon nations and themed based interface, as cheap of a buzzword it has become immersion really brings a game to life.
