The Lucky Jack Aubrey Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Sometimes missions are located that far away that they are located in shallow water that people with frigates can not go to, for example: Pedro Cay.
Capt. Rice Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Yea i have this problem of the coast of Florida they some time show up in shallow waters on the edge of the Bahamas.
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Press F11 when you encounter this issue after getting as close as possible to the mission point, and filling in the details of where you got the mission will help a ton. Thank you.
Trebs Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Yep needs to be fixed they spawn miles away from the port you take them in
Cmdr Thrudd Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Yep needs to be fixed they spawn miles away from the port you take them in I think the distance is by design. Spawning in places you can't get to or sail a correct rank ship into is a bug though.
Ink Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Mission spawn in shallow waters for dw ships is a known issue, thanks for the reports, Captains
ErilaZ Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) I suspect it is not the only issue caused by this bug. I had it yesterday, I was playing for Denmark and had missions repeatedly spawned near Havana. Way too long to sail there from Christiansted w/o teleport. So I went to another port, selected mission there and it spawned nearby. I rejected spanish ones and went for dat XP grinding. Then I beat the AI and left the battle, going to exit the game soon. All of sudden I found myself near Havana! It was too late for me to sail homewards, so I closed the game and unfortunately forgot to report it by F11. In addition to that - yes, I restarted the game for several times, missions spawned in Spain as they did before. So it is 100% server issue. Edited February 11, 2016 by ErilaZ
