Where are these smoke effects?

On the website there are game pictures of the smoke effects. I will post one below. These smoke effects look way better than anything I've seen in game. Can someone explain this? Also I think we should be able to select what flag types/UI style we want  because I favor the one shown below.

These are promo image effects. The game also looks much different than this promo image that it more than 1 year old. Effects can become better later but we need to consider that they have cost for fps performance and we want in parallel large armies on the battlefield.

Isn't it possible to add a few graphics options, so that people can choose what's best for their own comps? Or is that a lot of work? (I honestly have no idea).

Of course when the game is finalised it will be possible to tweak more graphics options, possibly including the effects, but cannot promise now how it will be.
