Raid group creation for Port Battles:

 

Problem:  It's a real nuisance for the attacker of a port battle to see random players join with the wrong ship, not part of the group on the active Teamspeak (or other vocal server), and basically screwing up a place for someone else. Even worse when they join with their fleet of 2 bot boats!

 

Proposed solution:

The attacker that is carrying the flag get's a tool that allows him to create a Raid force of up to 25 players. The minute the flag holder enters the PB, all the raid force (in proximity) get's sucked in. Whatever places left are free for all.

 

Now the downside would be that it makes it tougher for defenders to tag players waiting for their turn to be called into PB.

 

So maybe an alternative is that the places are reserved in the PB for the raid members but they are not 'sucked in' with the flag holder.They have to manually join the PB as today, but if they get tagged or fail to join, the flag holder can decide to exclude them from the raid and therefore free up slots for outsiders.

The Current Portbateels are purly just placeholder for actuel PBs with landmasses so dont worry about to much. Lots will change and the Devs are higly motivated to implement players suggestion in the game.

this is the first suggestion that has no kickbutton XD i like the idea of that.

 

i would also like to add that all players who are currently in the port (have the nationality of the port) are dragged in the port defence. ecept the players who are part of hte attacking nation

Conquest flags to only be bought from regional capitals, at least give the defenders some time to organise a defense for ports that are not right next to major player hubs.

 

Change winning conditions to - total annihilation or zone capture. For the zone capture, have a small area near the defensive spawn. Have something like 5 minute capture time for 1 ship, 4:30 for 2 ships, 4 mins for 3 ships, 3:30 for 4 ships and 3 mins for 5 ships and maxing it at 5, defense can stop the capture simply by having an equal amount of ships, having 5 ships in the zone prevents capture full stop.

 

This results in defenders having something to defend, attackers having a clear objective to take control of and it stops run away and hide tactics.

I think they should raise tower hp by a lot and reduce their damage and accuracy by even more so that they act more like a temporary defense that would give time for defender to regroup while not allowing defenders to just hide behind the towers and wait for them to totally destroy the attackers if ships on both side are of similar battle rating.
