Wolfar Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Ships of roughly equal size should not be able to capsize the other one. When you spend 40 minutes prepping the other ship to be boarded only to watch it capsize when trying to turn it into the wind it is frustrating. Now I can see a Ship of the Line capsizing a cutter. Thank you for this consideration.
Jan van Santen Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) My Niagara was capsized when a half sinking trader cutter interrupted boarding (2 patches ago and down to 6 crew).. And a first rate might crack a cutter like a nutshell, but it wouldn't capsize it. The lever is missing. To counter the stabilizing effect of the ballast, it would need the mast as lever. Pagan Pete Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 My Niagara capsized just because i read this topic!!!
Wolfar Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 I have capsized 2 ships trying to turn them into the wind. Most of the time it works but if you lean on them just a bit to hard they rollover!
Prater Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Agreed, there is a thread in the tester forums about this. Hopefully it will be fixed.
Quineloe Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Is it really broken? I only capsize smaller ships when boarding so far, two or three snows with my brig. I've since then learned to shoot down one mast, which makes boarding trivial and doesn't require turning them into the wind.

People told me it takes a long time but I will see just how long then. Thank you,
