Hurin Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 EDIT: Nervermind, the video says to "right-click". . . but the patch notes (which I just re-read) specify a "CTRL-Right-click". Holding down CTRL was the missing piece of my puzzle. Thanks! --H Hi All, First, I'm incredibly excited about this game. It already looks great. A quick question though. . . According to the youtube video (1:00 to 1:15), I should be able to assign a formation to a selected group by CTRL-clicking various units, and then right clicking on the proposed destination (and then dragging the mouse to set orientation). When I select the units, and then right-click, there is no apparent effect and then if I drag, it just moves the map per usual (right-clicking and dragging usually does move the map). Am I missing something fundamental? Thanks! H
Grotius Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Hi, I'm pretty sure you need your final click to be a CTL-right-click on the spot you choose, not a simple right-click. I think that worked for me.
Nick Thomadis Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Yes the correct procedure is Ctrl+Right click. Thank you for reporting. The corrected video will be uploaded asap.
Redmarkus4 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 What I would like to see is a Total War-style capability wherein during pause mode I can specify a final location and orientation for each unit. I would like to see each of the planned locations highlighted on the map (not just the arrow, but the deployment as well) in pause mode so that I can ensure that I am creating a line with no gaps. This would greatly reduce the clickfest effect, I believe.
JohnnyJingles Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Also rendering units like total games when you send them somewhere i think you hold spacebar and it renders little green or red units showing where they are going to go.
Freakzilla269 Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Ah, CTRL! This makes things a little more interesting! It would be nice if we could choose a formation, like maybe skirmishers and cavalry on the flanks, etc.
