Hi

Crafting Ships is quite hard because its really hard to find any Log.  After the latest patch with the Increased Iron production, Iron seems to be pretty balance. Not too much but

still not complete sold put.

It woud be nice to see reform in Wood production. Because i do believe we do not produce enough of it.

I'am playing as Sweden and we have 4 Ports wich prdocue Oak Log.

I spent three hours today going from Spanish port to Spanish port looking for Oak - all sold out... until the last one which had 50 units left for a reasonable price.

I mean, there was no shortage of Oak at the capital, but I'm not paying 250 gold for it.

Uhm, isn't that just the way a market works? There's a demand for a resource and limited supply. So the price of the resource goes up, which means the price of the finished product (ships or materials) also goes up, meaning you sell your ship for a higher price to make up for the higher cost of resources.

From what I have experienced, if I were to buy my resources at the unreasonable prices you say are 'how the market works'... I couldn't competitively sell the ship. The ships for sale are built by people with access to reasonably priced goods.

Unscrupulous traders are hoarding it and selling at laughable prices, 3199 was the last price I saw yesterday at the dutch territories. Couldn't stop laughing.

The system is working fine. You simply have a lot of wannabe Ronald Trunks getting rich by the need of others :)

I say boycott them for 9 days and let it dry. Lower your production to a minimum and ask corsair flotillas to supply you. We are always glad to help out honest crafters which keep the prices of the ships regulated.

Yes it is... but the price of a ship need to be balanced with the income you get from playing.

And when NPCs sell ships at fixed prices they make it hard to earn money on shipproduction and you risk players not making ships... since they risk loosing money on it.
