Better Clan Recruitment

So, currently clans have a couple ways to recruit. First being the forum, second being the nation chat. the forum is great but not that many people read it sadly, so the in game method remains the main way to recruit members.

 

For the big clans, I am sure it is not a problem. But for smaller clans, ours being one of them it's difficult to recruit through nation chat alone. So this is my suggestion:

 

Why not take all existing clans in a nation, put them in a list where the clan can fill in information to convince anyone looking to join their clan. Then the person could even apply for the clan by clicking on it and the officers would be notified and can either refer them to a query, PM them or invite them immediately.

 

This way people can discover what is the best option for them and it simultaneously allows each clan to grow and effectively avoids spam in the nation chat.

If you want to go a more historically accurate route: Have an option in ports for clan listings. The clans who wish to post must visit the port and pay a small fee to be listed.

Have it as a sub option on the existing clan button on the chatbox.
