  1. Most traders have adapted this technique indeed. It's brilliant to sail past pirates and privateers with 3 LGV's and know they'll never catch you. Best feeling in the world. Got tagged once even by a lucky sailer whilst doing one of those infamous AFK trader runs. Heard the sound switch from OW to Battle. Noticed he did an amazing tag, right behind me, he managed to destroy lots of sail, I did a repair and outran him easy on the wind. It was glorious.

  3. I like it, all it'll do is give lower ranked players some toys to play with. Makes it more open for them to lose a ship to gankers. It'll disencourage the gankers to go for lower players as they might cap a wortheless ship and lose time. It'll give clans some breathing room from having to provide low level ships every day because lower ranks lost them (which is all fine, everyone needs to learn) but it'll alleviate some of the pressure. It'll give PVE'ers some additional value to go and cap AI ships for lower ranked clan members. It won't saturat the market because the quality of the ships is low, so decent ships will still need to be made and it's restricted to 4th rates (up to or included remains to be seen). I believe this is a good thing.

  6. Is there a section on the forum where you Devs post ideas and possible changes before implementing them? I'm not saying you shouldn't implement changes or try out game mechanics because the community is enraged, but the last two days could have been avoided if the idea for Victory Marks was posted here first, talked over, etc. Or am I too naive?
  7. Oh please. It's a good thing to make the VM available to everyone. At least now everyone can remain competitive and the map rounds make you win them faster so, it's good for everyone. You are under the illusion that smaller nations sat on their ass and are lazy folks. You're ignorant. The point is not that people who don't bust their arse wanted the same rewards, the point was that people who did RVR but didn't make a chance in the system as it was now to at least have a way to maintain a fleet that is competitive. The only ones that where lazy bums getting marks where your own nation members that never PVP'ed and alt accounts. So that has been solved with the post captain rank limitation. So thank you devs, for balancing things out again. Also, the speed nerfs change things up a bit, choises like crew vs speed need to be made and the speed meta has been dragged down to 13 knts which makes warships built to chase of pirates and privateers valuable again. I'm happy.

  9. Like global, except there's a clerck that states kills, who did it in which region and the victims nation. Only works on PVP kills and a little bugged atm, he doesn't count caps as kills.
  10. Exactly my idea, even though I'm 95% sure no one will put in the time or effort for the tactical play. They will go for the weaker targets and multiple PB's at the same time since they have the player base and resources to support an armada, which smaller nations have not.
  11. 1 Vitory mark for each captain that logged in in the last 14 days prior to victory (Hahahaaaaaa) The map, achieved conquest points etc are carried on to the new week, so no restart/reset.
  12. Well, I'm talking EU server and I can tell you there the biggest nations are automatically the most active RVR nations. On EU: more players = more active RVR players. The Dutch on EU go out there and fight, but a nation with numbers will be able to defend a port and at the same time attack one. So that's twice the odd's we have. As far as I can see, that's favouring nations with numbers. If you divide the points over active players you'll get a more accurate reflection of skill, imo.
