  1. Regarding Crew situation: Instead of limiting number of men, restrict Experience training provides. You already have it this way in Custom Ship builder, where player can chose what experience crew should have, increasing the cost of the ship. In campaign mode, same principle would be used, and player will be able to choose to what level he wants to have his crews trained (when new ship is built) using same slider.. more experienced crew, costlier they are to train.. this way, you could make higher grades of training a lot more costly than they are now, without negative impact of not having enough of crew for new ships... But of course, Veteran status should not be achievable via training, instead, crew would have to achieve it in combat.
  2. At this point, as game stands, there are two large issues that need attention. AI complete lack of understanding how technology is beneficial - or said simpler - AI keep building obsolete cheap designs over time never progressing as time goes.. Despite Tech meter showing them being "average" while myself is "very behind" my ships are way ahead technologically, because AI just likes cheap designs... And while i understand quantity has quality of its own, its not a good game design, as it just makes gameplay boring facing over and over hundreds of cheap junk that cant fight back, while it erodes your money situation every turn due to numbers... Second area is the crew management.. It is just way too costly as it is.. Its quite ridiculous not being able to recruit few thousands of men, when army has 700k of soldiers in almost every province (exaggerating but you get my point).. Instead of restricting numbers, restrict experience.. make slider influence how much training new crews get, instead of their numbers.. even remove numbers completely.. its not really value that should matter in era of Dreadnoughts, considering millions of people fighting in WW1..
  3. Whats the deal with Large Armored Cruiser for USA??? I have researched it, but i cant build it, because it doesnt appear in Shipbuilder..
  4. One Quality of Life improvement suggestion - put button to delete design away from Refit button.. its way too easy misclick and delete original design..
  5. Yeah, but if you become number 1 country, you can just block the war declaration yourself.. so you can actually pick and chose your wars.. being higher in the ladder over your opponent gives you that option.. Anyway, game just becomes tedious at that point, and i usually start a new campaign.. I wish we had a RETIRE button, where I could just finish the campaign when i want it.. instead of being forced to play till 1965 if I want to see end result numbers (which are not that interesting right now, i wish it was done a bit better)
  6. PLus it has a long term effect - all nations become quite weak.. if you survive initial onslaught, you become too strong, can chose your wars, and when you get into war, enemy usually has just few ships.. which is annoying, because my invasion fleet has to fight single TB or CL every other turn..
  7. you need 100k fleet to Naval Invasion option to populate in Politics..
  8. AI loves to form huge fleets, and sends them all on looong voyages... hard to say why, 100k invasion requirement maybe? not sure.. anyway, i think it would be better if invasion requirement was based on army size in the province.. instead of fixed 100k ton requirement... makes no sense if you are invading some small islands and you need to gather such fleet...
  9. Providing feedback is not complaining... Besides, for devs, players complaining is better than silent playerbase...
  10. Historically? British were... not Italians or French. but thats not the point. Right now, these relation swings are wildly random.. I believe it would be much better, if there was some sort of a Distance multiplier applied, so nations that are farthest away would not be as affected by distant war as those close by and vice versa. It would just make life a bit easier for those small countries that dont have overseas colonies (like Japan, or Austria-Hungary) And for example i posted above, in reality, i would expect my relations with France worsen, as they have colonies nearby, instead of Italy, who is far away... Its France who has some ships in South China Sea.. but as it is, its backwards.
  11. Thats all fine, but distance and borders should matter... why would Japan be the most affected by war between European powers, while every other European power near them are not as affected by it? Common sense would be to have some distance modifier, so far away countries would not consider it as impactful. after all, USA for quite some time preferred ISOLATIONIST policy and pretty much did not meddle into European wars for quite some time.. Right now, there is no option to play such position.. you are always dragged into wars by others.
  12. This makes no sense: I have no alliance with France, im on other side of the world, yet Italy going into war with France is hitting my relations the most??? why? Why would Japan care about two European coutries at war with each other???
  13. Yeah, TBs are the most annoying thing in the game.. AI builds a huge numbers of them, they cost almost nothing but they can get everywhere... and sinking them in droves doesnt move the needle because they are not worth that many VPs..
  14. BTW, Is AI prioritizing player as target? I'm in war with russians, they have 8BBs in total and they sent them all, together with all their CAs and CLs in two big fleets towards Japan (me)... yet, they are at war with France and Austria-Hungary, yet no fleet is present anywhere near their ports.. It seems to be quite unrealistic behavior to do something like that, especially, when these huge fleets even contain TBs, which run out of fuel.. its like AI completely ignores all types of limitations to fleet size
  15. The whole AI declares war on AI which instantly tanks your relations with one of the sides of the conflict, is what causes constant wars maybe even more than fleets... because you cant control what AI does, and quite often, these wars end up in a chain event, which pushes you into war situation and you just dont have any choice. Its particularly nasty when playing small nation, as you try to choose your fights, but because of this mechanic, you will end up at war with at least half of major nations..
