Did the game freeze at Move Ships or Updating Research?
-
I have further proof of my method working. The Move Ship Freeze happened once more, this time with Eastern Sweden. I utilized my same file editing process, and that fixed it once more.
-
Here are my instructions: Once you receive the Move Ships Freeze, look at the logs. The red section at the bottom should show you a province name. In my example it was Northern Columbia, and that example is attached. Go back to the main menu and use the file converter to convert that save file from .bin to .json. The file converter icon resembles a compass rose. Use a .json editor (Here's a link to my preferred one. Use it in Table Mode. There will be a screenshot attached: https://jsoneditoronline.org/#left=local.paxuyo ). Once you have the .json editor open, click on Open, then Open from Disk, and then maneuver to the save file location. This should be: C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Game Labs\Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts. You will then select the .json of your save file. With the file now opened, it will display this table with all of the options. You will select "Provinces" which will display the following table. Click ID to sort the provinces by alphabetical order. Scroll down to the province that is causing the issue. There are three columns: "Controller", "ClaimPlayer", and "ControllerPlayer". Controller and ControllerPlayer should be blank, while ClaimPlayer will show the original country this province belonged to. Copy and Paste the ClaimPlayer into Controller and ControllerPlayer. Click Apply. Click Save and then Save to Disk. You will replace the old .json at C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Game Labs\Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts. Go back to Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts and use the File Converter to convert the .json file back to .bin. Launch the save file. If you've done this correctly, the Move Ship Freeze should be defeated. It worked for me, so I hope that it will work for you

I am happy to report success in my experiment. Using file editing, I was able to get past the Moving Ships freeze. Northern Columbia had recently turned into Ungoverned Territory while Southern Columbia and Venezuela had not. I converted my file to .json, used a json editor to access it, and edited Northern Columbia back into being controlled by Columbia. I reloaded this save with the new .json, and loaded the game. To my delight, this worked. If anyone would like instructions on how to do this, I would be happy to provide them.

I have experienced the Move Ships Error in my Japan campaign, trying to move from August to September 1892. Image of log attached. I think the issue is Northern Columbia here. It's become Ungoverned Territory I noticed. I am going to attempt something and see if it works. If my experiment works, I will report back

I received this exact same error
-
Apparently the current T&F version does work with the current UAD version
-
I imagine now that 1.7 is released there will still be minor updates to the game for bug fixes. Just no content updates.
-
If you need to downgrade UAD version after an update

What date is 1.6.0.6 Opt x4? -
Oh lol. I must've misunderstood what exactly it was

For making all of those many ships that will be needed for the years, have you considered enlisting fans to help create ships and send them to you? Like one or two fans for each country to make ships and then send to you. From there you could evaluate the designs and decide if they were good enough for the mod. I think it would save time

I am having an issue where when I upgrade the mark of the gun, it visibly updates on the ship. But then in battle it's still Mk.1 and has its old form. Why is this happening?
-
Nevermind, it was in fact an error on my end. I have fixed it
-
I may have done something wrong, but: I'm trying to create an 1890 Greece game and it just keeps saying Loading World instead of doing the game generation
-
Oh yeah. It's been long enough since I played UAD without this mod that I forgot that was the original weight offset
