  1. Hi, Anyone would have experience on where to find the most rate 5 ships to hunt for on piece server......I know the game specifies certain big regions where to find these (Atlantic coast etc..)..but these regions are too big..and I have the impression that server does not generate these rate 5 ship npc,s proportionally, around some ports there are more, around some other ports there are less...(I was corresponding on this with support last year but I did not get much closer, may be player experience will add to the solution) Tx:Hiall1
  2. Hi, if someone could confirm this one: all game data (money, ranks, owned ships etc.) are stored not on someones c drive, but on steam cloud or game server right ?: Therefore reinstallation of computer at home leads to no data loss right ? (Unfortunately, my system is crushing, and helpdesk probably is not replying during week ends). Many thanks: GB
  3. Hi, many thanks for your replies…. helpdesk: it,s not the best choice in this case......I mean they are helpful...but they will not tell you "don,t use this or that part of the game"...."don,t build ships it,s not profitable etc".....because their aim is to encourage you...not to disappoint you......and I can uderstand that….gamer,s opinion is much better in this case who,s been through the problems of shipbuilding... ......anyhow, I was afraid so…...this ship building is probably risky as a beginner, using the same amount of time: I would probably make more money by taking cargo than with ship building....may be when I,ll be at a later stage in the game....
  4. Many thanks…...I see...….
  5. ....also, if the game went like that (having less and less money after being sunk by larger ships), I would have ended up in fighting only in basic cutters, never being able to learn manual sailing for instance in a less forgiving ship…..but fortunately the game does not go that way...
  6. Hi, anyone has any opinion in this one: (I haven,t done ship building yet, ) in thes game on PVE server: if I start ship building can I lose money ? (Let,s say because I buy the required items too expensive or because I open my shipyard in the wrong port) ? Or the oposite: the profit rate is so high that even if I,m not doing the ship building too professionally, I,ll for sure make profits, like in the case of cargo shipments in PVE server: I can,t lose money there, I can just make money. In other words: in this game, can you always sell your ships built for more money than the amount of money invested in building it (in case you advertise your ship as long as you have to..until someone buys it….and in case you don,t consider your basic investments like price of permits and price of shipyard) ? Many thanks
  7. I see what you mean..but you did not see the point: of course taking effort and improving yourself is a good feeling, and If something is too easy to do..it,s not too big fun. But there is a limit: if it,s your first 1-2 days in this game and you can chose only missions where 2-3 times bigger ships kills you or immobilize you in the first minutes you learn nothing, you don,t have the time to really maneuver and fight back, the game would not make sense this way, at least not in your first 1-2 days. But others suggested that I can chose enemies of same rank by clicking on them in the open world, that worked, so I could improve my abilities and I don,t find it necessary anymoe to be unsinkable in order to survive. PS: your last comment I seriuosly doubt though: if there was that button in the game I was talking about (that if you push you don,t sink or you can redeem your ship sunk), don,t tell me that you (or others) would not push this button (at least sometimes): when your ship gets sunk that you,ve been working for let,s say a week to get it in the game.
  8. thanks, I,m sorry in that case for the misunderstanding….
  9. ....that you (and others) took your own time and commented these for me was great great help....these are the kind of issues you will not find out when it is your first days of playing naval action....now I already can find easier missions and already can kick ass of ships of my size…..
  10. .....facts behind my statement you can read above: what happens is whenever I chose a mission, the system puts me against a ship 2 times bigger than me, and obviously I,m sunk, and I lose money that I earned doing the easy missions. But there are no more easy missions on my list of missions !!!! So, what can I do ? The same happens if I,m going out with basic cutter (in that case not 2 times but 3 times bigger ship is attacking me). If the game goes like this above it would makes no sense. Nevertheless, probably the game is not like this, there should be ways around this above problem, probably I just don,t know these ways yet as I,m playing only for 2-3 days now.
  11. Thanks for your advices Hethwill, will try….probably there is a way to overcome this problem in the game as others did too…
  12. For you it is the worst idea, for me your idea is the worst….because your situation in the game is different than mine (probably you have bigger ship and experience): my situation: I,ve been playing this game for about 3 days, I have Hercules, but instead of going forward in the game I,m going backwards: what happens is whenever I chose a mission, the system puts me against a ship 2 times bigger than me, and obviously I,m sunk, and I lose money that I earned doing the easy missions. But there are no more easy missions on my list of missions !!!! So, what can I do ? The same happens if I,m going out with basic cutter (in that case not 2 times but 3 times bigger ship is attacking me).
  13. What if items / ships would not be lost when sunk ?: If you like the idea, write to developer, probably noting will change (as they created the game like this for reason), but may be it will. Why would it be a problem if the game did not have this ass kicking option ? Ok, it would be less real..but: let,s say players could decide than: e.g. chose by a tickbox in the game if they want to lose ship and item when sunk. Some players (I,m sure minority) may say the game is good this way as it is, but I,m sure even these players would tick the box "not to lose my ship" when once they get sunk…(if there was such box for ticking in the game).
