A Full complement of crew for the guns and animations of the guns recoil and loading which can turned off in settings for those wilth low end computers Rigging damage again with the option to not see this for lowend pc's Ships names chosen from approved list. the name could be changed if captured but kept in the ships history. Ships crew, officers, midshipmen which can be killed but also gain xp which influence the ship a small amount the option to stay in combat mode and sail for as long as you want travelling to those locations at which they leave
  2. I was once tagged by two requins and chased my trader. I had to go and do something in real life so sent them a message i was away and tied the rudder and good luck. I came back to my pc with my ship beached on an island in the open world. i guess they couldnt catch me. I just want restate my issues is not with pvp although i am rubbish at it. I know peaple argue its a PVP server. it is then we should remove all the A.I ships then. its not just PVP alone it needs to be the full works and more to be a great game which atracts allsorts of players and the risk of getting cuaght by another player is great. But speeding through the open world with wind boosts, log books,and your mates has zero skill involved in joining a battle which is garunteed victory and would have been finished a day ago if they shared the same timeline. It lazy and contrived compared to a Good open world chase and tag and then battle

  4. I am pleased to have started a healthy debate at least to voice my concerns rather than remain silent. Being a GB player the siuation is very difficult at the moment. completly surrounded. Lost everything and my best ships i built worn down and gone. I have got a wife, kids, job. its a hard enough grind and time as it is rebuilding with out being joined in battle by a fleet of snows or redoubtables which were not visable or any where near the battle start in the open world. you dont see two french ships of the line apear out nowhere for no reason in the end battle of master and commander 😉. yes i know its a game
  5. To start off i am dyslexic so i apologise for spelling and gramma..... You go out to sea. there is a nice Ai ship not a soul in sight, you Think yeah i got time for a little A.i fight before making the dinner. Start the fight as it counts down still no one around. join real time battle countdown to start and Before you fire your first volly one,two, three enemy players jump into your battle. While you were waiting for the clock timer to start. enemy players have crossed vast swathes of oceon with wind boosts and waded into the fight which would have been long over and every one back for tea with equel timelines. it is totally unrealistic and unimersive to the simulation i signed up for and was sold I know its PVP game and yes if i get tagged in the outerworld game on. i got tagged yesterday with a player in a niagara and me a renomanee and it was a good fight. i lost but it was a meeting and engagment from open world to the battle Not every player wants to do port battles all the time and pvp all the time but also dont want to be on pve either I wish we could have something which allows you to opt for closing AI fights and let us lesser players and noobs get a break from the veterans who cruise around like speedboats on steroids jumping in . They get to choose or pass and jump in leaving you with no chance at all as they often have numbers. so i feel it should be that no one shouild be able to join a fight if beyond visuel distance of the starting engagment at least becuase of the wind boosts The game more and more is geared to the hard core players more and more alienating casuel players .

As a praposed aid to stop little ships stern camping bigger ships with carronades. during battle, muskets when in range should automaticicly be used by marines and boarding parties organised. on level deck ships even at veryclose range this would have minimul affect on crew fatalies over as most gunmen would be on the weather deck using cover. however big ship on a little ship would be quite devevasting as the lower ship would have no cover have no cover as bullet rain down from above. I am dyslexic so please excuse spelling and grammer
  8. this is already being abused. pirate players parked at the wind tab able to click on it and chase down their prey who are directly heading to them. most idiotic implement i have seen ever. i think
  9. yep the wind dynamic is extremely daft and unrealistic. you have to sail to a point click a button to get it so you can have insane winds while others do not. everyone should be affected by these winds or none at all and the boost is stupidly fast too. its stupid, comical, unrealistic and worst unsportsmanlike. worst is adding a book which allows pvps to use the map to invade others battles. I hate that people can travel across vast distances in a different time zone and join a battle which would have been over and gone before they got there. now its going to be worse why take all the dubs off trading missions why not lower them to 250 or 500 . I got this i as a full finished game not as a beta and these are starting to be very big changes. I do not expect to buy a game which changes itself and this feels like very much like Beta. i disapprove of this patch and the lowering of standards towards an arcade style
  10. Hi all I am sure this has been suggested in some way or another and have seen on the forums people saying pirates shouldn't be a nation and i agree. So i was thinking as i do that pirates should be something very different a sub game as it were. So stick with me. I am dyslexic. The PVE server The pirate nation is scrapped You have your main character as normal but you can have a second character a pirate character who is very different The pirate character is mortal. he has no levels but reputation to pull in crew. If his ship is sunk he dies. If his ship is captured he is hanged or he can retire after which of any three there is a cooling off period of X amount time before starting again. The goal to be in the top 100 living pirates or the top 100 retired pirates and the top 100 all time pirates. Pirates operate alone. They can not build ships or own lands and trade. They can attack all nations and nations can attack them At a some point a successful pirate can get to design his own flag using a variety of symbols sizes and placements ect. Now he is known and other players can get a reward for his demise and cudos of their own name on the top 100 as the killer or capturer of said pirate. treasure is divided by the number of the crew with the captain getting a suitable share and can retire at any point and have to wait for the cooling off point to start another pirate. Anyways i just wanted to share my idea
