  1. I have tried to log in 5+ times today. Rebooted system and still the same thing. I tried a connection test and it said "Error: Crash sender should be started using steam launcher." I am using steam obviously and steam is up to date
  2. As a PvE only player, I am VERY excited for these updates. I think most PvE players feel like I do too. I know some worry because of rumors of what will happen when in reality nobody knows until we test. I do agree with you it is funny some are worried about PvE in PvE. Kid's these day's
  3. Obviously not the way it has always been, beings thread on some patch notes. Admin said they release patch notes if they are "noteworthy". Paid DLC content, new perk and possible buffs to AI etc are noteworthy IMO. Obviously not the way it has always been according to the devs and the fact this is a thread on patch notes. Admin stated they always release patch note if the devs find them "noteworthy" I think paints added and NPC's given prep perk is pretty damn noteworthy. What else is in the update? Obviously not noteworthy according to the devs and the head of the cheerleading squad

    Hotfix notes?

Yes, you ask way to much. Just buy the DLC's, and if you grind more you can figure out what is different. Creating patch notes takes a lot of time and cost a lot of money. Just posting this cost me hours of my life and at least a $100. Now please excuse me, I have to get back to PvE to grind for mats to build ships with a broken crafting system.
  9. 1. You are just doing it wrong. Just use a trade ship with chasers. Problem solved It works fine Dev's like everything else in this balanced masterpiece. 2. When a timer runs out, it typically means there is no more time and things tend to switch off It's a PvP problem. I am sure it will get fixed, just wanted to give my useless opinion on a PvP post like PvP players manage to do on EVERY PvE post with legitimate issues.
  10. I am in combat with a Wasa elite and he went up wind (per-usual as that is where they like to die so you can't loot them) He stick's himself in the shore up wind and the when I got near him to shoot of course now I am stuck. No way out of it because the wind does not change either. So now we are both stuck with 1hr 10min left. The NPC is able to pop off bow cannon so I cannot escape the fight either. I sent in a report, but I sure as hell do not want to sit there for 70+min to wait for the timer to run out and I am not about to surrender my ship to an NPC that is almost dead. If there were quarterboats/larger radius to loot ships with rather than having to been 10m from them, these NPC that LOVE to shore themselves given the opportunity could be killed and looted.
  11. If we just got patch notes we would have a better idea. This is the first dev team I have come across that does not release patch notes with EA or release (still beta)
  12. This is a good idea. Something has to be done in PvE because it is so unbalanced and crafting has pretty much been made obsolete. The game feels more incomplete than it did a year ago. I do not understand why the game was released this way, other than maybe to be able to sell DLC's without breaking Steam's TOS. Making so many changes to the NPC's, knowledge, xp, Elite NPC's and all done just a few weeks before release has flipped PvE onto it's side and it will sink more sooner than later if not fixed. MCGA
  13. I have been sailing on the US coast for over 2hrs and not 1 NPC. Ran into a few players and that has been it. It is empty
  14. The new AI is much harder than before, and the payout of xp and reals have been reduced to basically not even worth going into combat (Big part of the game from the title). I was on the US coast (not many 2-3 rates to attack) and attacked an Elite Belle along with a reg Belle and a Surprise, while I was in my Christian. After the battle I had aprox 70 crew lost and half my armor taken down. The payout was 280xp and enough reals to pay for damage and and crew. I don't mind a hard AI, but when I am trying to unlock perks and getting pretty much nothing in return for combat I don't find it worth my time to even bother. The payout IMO on both xp and reals is pitiful at best (the old system was at lease somewhat rewarding). Today was my last day playing this game until release. Nothing to do but waste mass amounts of time trying to unlock 1 perk. If this is not fixed at release, I see no reason to continue with the game. It is a sad joke at best and a real slap in the face to players from the Dev's. The Dev's have managed to take most everything that was fun about this game in testing and change it into a further grind with little to no reward just weeks before release. Players ships are unbalanced and the AI is hard AF with little to no reward. And to top all that off, managed to make ship crafting in PvE pointless. The salt will flow heavy on the steam reviews if the game is released like this.
  15. PvE is the only reason I still play Naval Action. The only reason I would have recommended it too. But in it's current state, it is the biggest mess it has been in since steam EA release. In just under 2 months time the PvE server has been reduced to something I cannot even describe, compared to the build this time last year. The ships are unbalanced, the NPC's are over buffed (For new players especially) the Elite NPC are a great addition for end game content, but at the same time decimated ship crafting by not giving crafters access to Port Bonuses on the PvE server. I could care less if there was even a complete wipe, but with the shallow crafting and more grind added to an already big grind makes me want to give up on this game all together. Fixing the problems currently on PvE cannot be that difficult to accomplish, but for some reason, I feel the few things that are needed will be ignored and this title is DOA. Don't get me wrong, I want this game to flourish and to grow. I want to recommend it to all my gaming friends. This game could be a top tier indie game. Such great potential being abused currently IMHO. Maybe if the Dev's came on and played PvE (Friendly and helpful gamers) for a few day's and not PvP (A Toxic Sh**hole) They might just find what most if not all of us find in this game, something wonderful and not that hard to fix. If they really wanted PvE to be a so called " relaxing place" to get away from PvP madness, one would think a relaxing place would have BALANCE to it. You know, relax, get balanced..Hint, hint
