@Lord of Balgard

Weirdly enough, It's not letting me access the file in order to download it. I don't know if it's on my end or yours, can you check for me please? Edit: Nevermind, I found a MEGA link that worked. -
I would love to see more fort combat. That fort/tower circle idea is actually a pretty good one. Send two ships towards the fort circles to take it down and gain points by doing it. The fort towers were always too overpowered for no significant reason, it's like taking a ship of the line with bulk build and it does too much damage, even if you camp it from afar. Make fort towers a way to make points and defend a circle. For that, instead of sending smaller ships to the B and C circles to just sit there till a enemy ship arrives to battle, it can actually focus fire on the fort towers to take it down and bring in more points to the overall points for the team. And yeah, I agree. 3rd rates definitely needs to be the meta for PBs, maybe have 2 2nd rates and 1 st rate around, but mostly 3rds and 4ths would be better for the PBs. And that brings way more variety to it aswell.

Pay to Win DLC
Marquês do Bonfim replied to phantomswake's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
"But the game is only fun when I'm winning." - Player nowadays I suck at PVP, came back to the PVP server with the Redoutable, now I'm having fun, but still getting sunk. I'm improving, I'm learning and now I don't have to go through the grinding to have a ship. I still have to grind my ranks, though, so I can fully crew my Redoutable. I don't bitch about it, I don't complain about it, I just go for it. I have the Hermione, the Rattvisan and the Redoutable and that saved me a ton of time and sweat. It does have your perks, but it's not all roses, if you're not good sailing those ships, doesn't matter if it's te/wo, lo/wo, wo/wo, you will be sunk by a more experienced and equipped player, period. I have the DLCs, but I don't have the books, the upgrades, the money, the buildings to supply myself, so it's still a grind! It's not pay to win if you're not being forced to buy it and you're still get sunk in-game. I don't mind 3rd rates as DLC ships, but if the game goes further with it and bring us 1st rate DLCs, it will definitely break the balance. The Redoutable saved RvR and PBs on the PVP server, as more players are being part of it and they're having fun. The only reason why I bought it was to be able to do RvRs and PBs, that's my end game goal right there. -
I still think Portugal would be the right choice, if the devs are thinking about adding a new nation. I know a few brazilian guys playing NA right now, met some portuguese players myself and, including me, Portugal will probably be the next Poland faction in the game, tiny nation but, there will be players in it and willing to keep the nation alive. I also wouldn't mind, at all, if the Portuguese flag would be added under the British nation. I actually suggested this a long time ago. It would be viable to have it under Britain /IF/ there is no possibility of adding it as a nation.

Great guide, this will definitely help me and my clan organize ourselves even more in-depth. -
Would make capturing a ship from an enemy nation way more compelling, but since you can craft them, capturing ships only suits the basic instinct... Having a ship to do more battles. Also, refits... one of the biggest game changes in that era, we don't have. We can only craft and destroy, but never upgrade it or better fit it, I wonder why. And don't get me wrong, a lot of players will say that limiting ship choices per nation would limit gameplay, but you gotta ask yourself.. Would it? I mean, you would get more options to bring into a battle. Instead of sink it, you can capture it, refit (maybe rename it :C) and put it into your national enterprise fleet to better fit your clan port battle/rvr formation. Having crafted ships locked to their own nations would make players engage more in pvp, would make boarding a more viable choice instead of simply brawler gameplay, and adding something like refitting into the game, maybe renaming ships even more enjoyable to play. IMO.
