  1. Hi Nick,

I'm hoping you continue on your career. If by chance you need anybody to help out in some sort of way, if I can I will certainly be up for it.

Should you wish to contact me my email address is:

  2. I fight a battle with 8,000 men on each side and destroy the British. A small cavalry battle occurs at time 10:30 and the main battle begins at time 26:45. Not my best video, but I think you get the idea of what I am trying to explain.
  3. In this video I explain how to maximize your economy so that you are able to sustain a winning campaign. Maximizing Your Economy Tutorial
  4. Having won my first US campaign I thought I would share some of the things I did and how I would change some things after learning how to play the campaign. I look first at research and then chat about unit compositions, production, reinforcements and the army function. UGAR AAR US Campaign Victory on Normal
  5. How I attack Forts In this video I show how I attack Forts. None of the enemy should escape. Also, I talk a bit about artillery, as I prefer howitzers over mortars because the range of the mortars are just too short.
  6. UGAR - Some lessons learned from my American Campaign In this video I address Supplies and Ammunition, Construction Management, Infrastructure, Production Management, the Tax Committee and Foreign Relations. The video ends with me fighting a battle from the overhead perspective.
  7. In this tutorial I cover all the features of how to build your army. This ranges from Generals, weapons, troop types, units, ammunition, provisions and production or weapons and supplies. I throw a couple tips at the end to sum things up, but overall, this tutorial covers a large majority of how this game works.
  8. Jackie Fish has put out a number of videos playing on hard difficulty. Have you tried watching them?
  9. In this video I look at some ways of improving the battles so as to give the player more situational awareness of what is happening on the battlefield.
  10. After 100 hours of play, I give my first impressions of this new game. The strategic play gets a big thumbs up with a number of new features not found in other games, while the tactical battles are still in need of work. The game is still in early access. Ultimate General American Revolution First Impressions Hope you like the video, though a bit long.
  11. After a bit of thought I think introducing some sort of siege mechanism would be the best and easiest way to go. Not only happened at Boston but at Yorktown as well.
  12. So I have been watching a number of professional YouTubers (Jackie Fish to name one), and they are attacking Boston in June of 1775. Essentially they bait the British to attack them, hide in the forest areas and play defense. This tactic appears to work fairly well, but is IMO, gamey as snot. Reminds me of Zerg rushes... During the actual war, Washington took Fort Ticonderoga and with the guns he captured there, was able to put Boston under siege. Though the British could still supply by sea, the pressure of the siege was enough to eventually force the British to evacuate the city in March 1776 and moved their forces to Nova Scotia. Personally, I would redesign this opening of the campaign. First, any attack in the direction of Boston will be met with the British sallying out of Boston to meet them. But once the battle commences, they should refuse combat and return to the city, or set up in a defensive position to receive the Rebel attack instead of taking the offensive. Second, the colonists must take and hold all cities and forts on the opening campaign map including Salem to simulate the Siege of Boston. Third, the Colonists must position at least 3 batteries of artillery in Salem, including one of 6 pounders. The guns should be able to be captured attacking Forts Saratoga, Ticonderoga and maybe Frederick and Montgomery as well. This would be one 6 pounder per fort to enable you to make a battery. Fourth, after maintaining their positions at Salem for one or so months, the British army will then abandon Boston and position themselves in Canada. It might not be a slam dunk action packed game from the start, but it will far better reflect history and the harsh winter the Colonists had to preserve to eventually gain control of Boston. Any thoughts?
  13. I'm really looking forward to see how this game develops, and therefore why in the video above, I just went through the highlights of what this game has to offer. But I must say, in one way, I am a little disappointed. Here are the comments I posted in the discussion area of the game on steam:
  14. With the release of Ultimate General American Revolution, thought I would put out a video with my first look at the features so that folks can get an idea if it is their cup of tea or not.
  15. Oops... wrong thread. Sorry.
