  1. Could you consider letting players somehow max out their port bonuses on their ship after crafting them? Such as upgrading it with materials/etc. It will help smaller nations and poorer players. Owning the port would decrease the amount of time and reals/doubloons/etc but players should still be able to get 5/5 port bonuses after the fact.
  2. That's the kind of thinking that we need right now with a dying population and people complaining about updates/rvr/etc.
  3. Yes but you're assuming new players think that way instead of having a horrible time and quitting the game. Is it a good thing to have to leave your nation regardless? I see it too often that players either quit or just switch to the strongest nation for the best advantage because the game is very tedious and tiring to play in the bad nations. This isn't necessarily because they were pvped or zerged but because of crafting/clan system/pve missions. This system does not support new players and that's a flaw at the base of the game.
  4. Yes admin, I baited you into reading the second and third sentences because the zerg is always ignored and overlooked. DLC bad!
  5. The war server is far from having a "little danger" and if you join the wrong nation, consider yourself screwed. Can changes be made to inform new players on the realistic choices they have when picking a server and nation? If I could have first joined the game I would have picked a different nation but you don't realize these things until it's too late and you have too much time dedicated and no logical reason to buy a DLC that doesn't support or help encourage the game to become better other than encouraging zerg. Instead how about "War server is perfect if you don't always want a hardcore time but it will eventually find you regardless of what you are doing."
  6. Yeah that's one way to temporarily fix the issue...These clans and people are going to continue switching nations or holding the nation at hostage. You can't do anything without a clan and you can't create a clan large enough to do your own RvR... The system itself is flawed 😕
  7. Too many nations, pirates are weak and we have to push to safer waters
  8. What's the point of the poll? 🙃
  9. Pretty hard to come up with things not already in the game that could be used to differentiate certain woods.
  10. I agree with you because if you merge woods nothing good comes out of it other than having less woods to choose from. But there are too many woods that are not worth using compared to fir/teak/wo/lo. A suggestion is to give certain woods bonuses in cargo capacity/draught/etc. What else do you guys think could be done to unused woods that would make them worth using/balanced?
  11. Definitely because having rewards in any form gives players an incentive to want to play more. I like this idea but I also think it would be nice if you were given a chest that has the possibility of getting a good book or ship. The game should scale a lot better such as by the time you get to max rank you should be near completing most of the books.
  12. One of the big issues for newer players is the mission system but thankfully this next PvE update should fix it. AI shouldn't be dumbed down because it will affect people who know how to play well. One thing you could do is when a lower ranking player tags AI the wood is set to something weak and possibly have negative bonuses to thickness/speed/turning/etc. I honestly think when a player joins a basic cutter is just not an enjoyable experience. Would it be possible to replace the basic cutter with something larger such as a brig so new players can get them for free and don't have to feel bad when they work up to 6th rates and lose them? We already make it possible to rank up decently once you complete tutorial so why not make it easier for someone who has trouble completing it? Maybe every time you rank up a player could be rewarded with a ship that fits his crew requirements.
  13. AI are very easy for the average player and it's hard to balance them around every single player when people have good woods/refits/books and some have nothing. The way around this problem is you use bigger ships to fight smaller ones and work your way up.
