As far as I know removing player names was introduced for two reasons; one being players not running from more known players from the start, the second one being to cut the possibility to trashtalk someone for running straight away. I can see both NA chats and the forums becoming a whole lot more salty when you will be able to see playernames again. Right now its just like "meh I cant catch this guy, whatever, ill go back." However if players know who the player is that "is too scared to fight"... I for one welcomed the removal of playernames in OW

For Patrolzone: A national player counter to see how many players of each nation are in the PZ / SP Pro: - You dont sail to PZ (in a bigger group) for nothing anymore - Seeing there is a large amount of players of nation XY might encourage players cross nations to work together - more pvp Con: ?
  7. So when I tag someone and he proceeds to run away, I can only shoot my bow chasers but would catch him eventually, he would get away because Im literally unable to damage him in time?

Perhaps But could also motivate players across nations to group up and take on a nation with a large amount of players in the zone forever Since PZ RoE got fixed (dont get me wrong I think current RoE are 1000x better than the 20 min open for everyone no matter the BR) we tend to mostly just get smaller engagements. This might help getting larger ones aswell
  9. A small addition I'd like to see is an indicator of how many players of each nation currently are in the Patrol Zone. Often you go there alone or in a small group hoping to get a quick fight but find nothing. That should motivate players to form up and leave port for a quick fight if they saw nation XY is in the patrol zone with 10 players. Maybe have a seperate counter for Solo Patrol. ------------------------ Additionally I think there needs to be a dedicated 7th / 6th rate Patrol, plus a 5th rate Patrol - So ships like the trinc / Endy / Prince / ... don't just all keep collecting dust in the docks

  11. I dont think the issue is the forger DLC itself but rather the lack of incentives to join smaller nations. Right now for a new player there is 0 reason not to choose Russia. Plenty of crafting ports quite a distance off any possible danger, little risk of ever losing those ports, good trading options etc.
  12. But if I recall correctly you could delete qnd recreate your account and then get your XP back as a redeemable, because XP was tied to your steam account
  13. There will always be a Meta Playstyle. There were times where the Surprise was the super imba ship you could take on 1st rates with - 2016-2017. Now you can forget about that when its mast fall just by looking at it - which is good IMO, it shouldnt be able to achieve such victories However nowadays wew got a "snow meta", being able to solo pretty much anything up to 4th rates. I wouldn't say there is no room for small ships. In the right hands they can still be deadly. Even one of the best players, dron, got swarmed by a couple snows in his wasa and lost. But perhaps there should be a pure 7th rate Patrol Area - Maybe even also a pure 6th / 5th rate patrol area.

  18. also suggested before but this opens more exploits, e.g. a nation using an alt clan in a hostile nation and capture a port next to a free port and thier main nation ports, which then blocks the hostile nation from advanding
