I feel like gunloss through damage needs to be looked at, you now seem to lose a lot more guns through balldamage. probably due to higher penetration values but not sure. (I have been on both ends) per decent rake here I would easily destroy 15 guns total of 100 guns destroyed in a couple rakes

moderators that are also playing the game will always be biased im some way, thus having an objective opinion is basically impossible (which i think is also why we didnt have chat mods anymore)

My first "big ish" battle with the new penetration values and windshadow mechanics - Windshadow takes some time getting used to but overall it did not seem as bad as I thought it would be. New penetration vs hull is great, way less bouncing on close-mid range. Though I still think there are too many fireships Suggsetion as mentionned before in this thread: Ships must have the Fireshipfitting upgrade in order to disable survival

In a battle I noticed that the guns on the side I had on F5 (blocked from loading) did not repair with the going hull repair - the guns on the other side, which were also being loaded, no F5, did get repaired Is this a bug? Sent a bug report NAB-103817

we have done a couple now with 5-9 guys and never lost a single ship (one got boarded but we captured it back), theyre still fine IMO

How many players were you? We did one with 6, one of us got boarded within the first 10 min so it was effectively 5 of us lol. Still got it done but took effin ages The ship that got boarded was captured back, no other casualities -
wouldn't be able to plant the flag on english harbor on the russians account though right? So would have to be in the swedish alt clan. That scenario seems oddly familiar

dont see much of a difference to grinding a hostility mission for an alt in another nation but yep both sucks

Overall it seems like a good patch, liking the windshadow feature, though it may be overdone (perhaps not reality wise but for gameplay sake) a little bit. Now that it's basically impossible to determine whether or not you can penetrate a mast due to so many variables (woods (seasoned, regular, super rare woods), upgrades (mast thickness / penetration upgrades), sail settings (slow / half / full), ...), I think the hit counter "mast" when you hit the mast should only occur when you actually penetrate the mast. + I still think the rare woods buffs are OP, a fleet of ships consisting of +35% HP and similar other stats, result should in most cases be obvious, which is not ideal IMO. Also, as said before in this thread, it should be impossible to disable survival if your ship is not equipped with the fireship upgrade

of course there would be the chance of fire, but that doesn't mean the crew wouldn't try to firefight it and let themselves get blown up? Firechance yes, option of disabling survival in boarding no imho

IMHO something needs to be done to boarding mods stacking, especially now with the implemention of wind shadows when you basically get ships "behind" you to a full stop.. It's already over the top now, when you die within 1 or 2 rounds to a fully boarding-musket-marines- stacked boarding vessel. Also.. The option of exploding whilst in boarding should not be a thing - Can't imagine IRL a sane crew would just decide to go full allahu akbar when they know they'd lost - most likely would just surrender

how does "hard work" translate in dull afk sailing a trader for a couple hours? next lvl game content also regarding balance: as long as there are woods ingame that boost your HP by 50(!) %, I dont see much of a point even trying to start arguing about balance.

What does overpenetrating mean in naval action? Damage output should remain equivalent as there are no "explosive shells" right? Is mast thickness going to be touched when heavy guns don't lose a lot of penetration value on long range?

only thing you should get from breaking up a DLC is a permit. No more silly 500+ seasoned woods drop p2w + should you want to spend the resources on the ship yourself but in return get the port bonusses you want, you could do so But I suppose that ship has sailed by now (Or is it broken up yet?)
