Server: Peace Ingame-name: NoShipSails4ever (mine, not of the bug report sender) Report: NAB-103542 Question: his question was mentioned in the report as he said, but for response reasons i will repeat it here with some additions It's regarding a bug report of a mate that didn't create a forum account so far. so i write for him here. it is related to a port raid that will happen after tomorrows maintenance (Tuspan). Back in this announcement it was written that only 2 poor / under-developed ports get raided per day. the port in question has 15 of 40 points used, so it's not really underdeveloped. https://forum.game-labs.net/topic/35149-seasonal-update-welcome-to-the-caribbean-part-2/ Question: Can you explain in more detail what makes a port count as poor and underdeveloped if 15 point investments seem to count as such? Is this a fixed way how it is counted or something relative like percentages depdning on maximum port point amount (or something else)? so far we thought that the raiders attack underdeveloped ports like 0 port point investments and if none of these are available going up to 1 point investments and such. do different investments have different value? port defense take one port point but don't seem to count as investment, as we had ports with full defense but still they got raided in the past have port bonuses or resources higher value in relation to their used port points?
  2. while i don't mind the change in "port battle transport" at all, since i have no use for it as i'm on the spot for portbattles anyway when i do the hostility the day before... i have some questions regarding the victory marks. since they have no use at all now, can we have 1. some kind of new reward for the captured ports? itwas kinda nice to at least get something each week (maybe 1000 doubloons , 1 million reals or 1 combat medals for each port)? this could probably motivate people too if they at least get some reward for participating 2. some way to exchange our current victory marks for maybe doubloons / combat medals if they won't get a new use? i mean the other way around still exists in the admiralty 3. maybe an official thread / announcement about stuff like this? i don't think everyone actually checks these old threads for changes such as these that are hidden on page 18...
  3. for my example i wanna state a few fictional numbers up front (the screenshots or just old ones i had lying around, so not directly related to the numbers of my example) Total Points needed to capture the example port: 10k 7EC generated 6k points (60%) LSC generated 8k points (80%) GB nation generated 8k points (80%) as well Part 1 - the usual stuff so as far as i know these nation % here are only relevant for which nation gets the port at 100%... so regarding my example numbers let's say GB finished their big battle first and generated 80%, you (7EC) came out 2nd with 6k points and 60% and LSC is still in their match.. than regarding the screen from above you would have the usual overview, just with it showing "GB 80% and FR 60%" ...when the other french clan LSC now leaves the battle it will jump to the PB time because france as a nation has reached the needed amount of points (6k + 8k from 10k needed). Part 2 - the fight inside the same nation but for the question of which clan inside the same nation get's the port i think it doesn't matter if you (7EC) let's say generated 60% nation hostility with 6k points (just an example) if the other clan LSC generated 8k points in total and brings the battle to an end with it. As far as i've seen the hostilities if the other clan inside the same nation reaches more points, they will get the port. i can be wrong on this but only @admin knows for sure.
  4. - is this also the same amount of ships / rank on the peace server? because this statement is set under "War Server" and not as info for both > if yes, how should the PvE playerbase defend against it? i don't think we get enough players together every time to defend against it > if no, what can we expect the fleet to be consisting of? so if I understand you correctly regarding the PvE Server 1. there is NO downside to all other players if whatever clan owns a specific Port (access, building rights etc...except taxes) 2. the only reason to capture it on Peace Server is Taxes 3. due to the reason that we can enter and build in any port, we also won't lose anything no matter which nation the port has right so far...or wrong? thanks in advance
  5. Hello fellow sailors, i just encountered another labour reset bug as it seems... It's widely know now, that you get a popup for it, that you labor hours get's a reset when you create a new character on another server. BUT why did it get reset when i just joined another server with an existing character (which just sat idle until now). "Birthday" is 5/6/2016 in my Info on the PvP One EU server a few minutes before that i was on the PvE Server that i was mainly active before and had nearly 1800 labor hours (which i did not spent) I also made a bug report via F11 ingame Cheers

Not only wipe related but also when you change nation...because I am lvl 50 craft...and when i want to change nations (talking about PvE here) because e.g i find some new mates to play with...why should i start from scratch again in terms of Blueprints? i am still a "master" crafter with lvl 50 and know all the stuff...
  7. and that would be another reason for me to stick to the PvE server... that way i don't have to look out for stupid gank fleets (because those guys can't handle fighting 1:1 mostly), and if i want to PvP i just join a small / large battle and get a mostly fair battle...which is what i want to do in PvP fights anyway EDIT: crew doesn't really become a strategic factor then... people will prolly just stick to 2nd and 3rds until they have only 1 dura left, sell the ship and start from before...no loss of crew that way

Well if that's the case that if i e.g. lose a santi and my crew is gone...and when it should be such a hassle to regain crew over time... i just build like 5 ships...like a snow, surprise, essex, bellona and vic / santi...(different crew levels depending on how much i have at that time) and just fit them for boarding and get all the crew i need by boarding NPC ships as players will just try to evade being boarded anyway... [sarcasm] hooray...another grind aspect and / or time sink[/sarcasm]

  10. I can understand both sides actually...the ones who just want to have fun, and those who want stronger opponents... Wouldn't it be an easier way if you e.g. 1.accept rank 5 (fleet) order 2. get a question of how difficult you want the AI to be? e.g. normal (pre-patch) and hard (AI now) 2.1 where normal would give like 50% XP and credits and hard gives the normal XP you get now (mission XP / gold could stay the same, as most of the XP and gold comes from sinking the ships anyway) 2.2 that way the "elitists" get rewarded for higher risk and the ones who just want to enjoy the game still get a chance to Like this

  12. That explains something really important... I was always wondering why a 3rd Rate, when i could cap them back then, which has always no upgrades installed, can reload faster than I in my 3rd rate with mastercrafted impr. mag. access, rum rations and powder monkeys... Edit: with medium cannons. AI was shooting mostly deck by deck, but still with faster reload than myself
  13. +1 for the part with the larger fleets and most of the rest of the patchnotes but how does the compensation you get for captured warships look like? Gold? Materials? +1 Dura on my actual ship? can i choose? because I for myself mostly capped stuff like 3rds mostly to save me some time crafting as i broke them up to get more materials like large carriages...
  14. Well if they wanted to sell it via the Store i guess you could figure it out yourself...except you so far prolly noone would buy it. And no clue why people didn't build you one IF you asked in chat for it. I prolly would have, as Fir and LiveOak are the only frames i use (liveoak for warships and fir for trader hunters and traders). But on the other hand...i only play one the PvE server. If i would want to PvP i'd just join a small battle
