  1. I get where this is coming from, but no one wants to have their gameplay controlled. For example If I were spain, and were forced to move to Columbia for pvp because the game decided I am to attack the french empire, I personally would get very frustrated by this. Remember, whilst monarchies were rules by an individual, most of them (excluding france) had to answer to a parliament. Thus a House or Lords structure the devs have presented.
  2. This is a nice idea, however sadly (and I'm no expert on these matters) I do not believe that this can be done given how all servers are completely separate. Another way to do something like this however, would be to expand the server pop limit & actual map size to include parts of Europe and so forth. Possibilities are indeed endless.
  3. Given that the majority of people are indeed within US & Great Britain on pvp2, I think going GB will be my option. Lets keep this on topic chaps, we don't want a 'which server's better' war Regards, Juan.
  4. Hello Chaps; As a former Admiral of Spain, and now a pirate I am looking to gain information regarding the current population dispersion on PvP2, as I seek to change nations given my dissatisfaction with the state of the pirates. Therefore any information that could help myself and indeed others make choices regarding which nations to join would be much appreciated, as at the moment I yearn to return to Spain, however other nations are definitely on the cards if no one sails her waters. Regards, El Comisario Juan Alfonso de Castella, Former Vicealmirante of the Legion del Mar Current officer of AUSNZ
  5. Personally after the reset I will probably go back to Spain or go someone small like Sweden. The Pirates are simply no longer a fun option given that we must sustain port counts to support our nation-like economy. If the servers do indeed merge; I think factions like Spain will be much more playable due to increase player base and so on.
  6. Yeah it was more like 1000 at peak, when I started playing the game had come just come out. The latency to US is about 250 which is manageable; however to EU it varies from 350-650 which is bearable however frustrating to say the least when attempting to board or fire cannon due to the delay.
  7. I, for one, will sink with my ship so to speak. PvP 1 is not an option for me and indeed many others due to the latency issues when connecting from Australia or New Zealand. There a still a number of players still operating in our server, just unfortunate that there are only 200 in stead of the once 1500.
  8. Whilst there is merit with all banding together on one server, I hope I do speak for many of my fellow Australians, it is sadly just not possible given the ping issues from Oceania to Europe I wholeheartedly agree with you sir, the battles we've fought have been bloody fun and have made me want to keep playing the game more. I do think that we need to just step back every so often and realise that yes, you may have lost a valuable ship but reverting to vile insults just makes everything worse. All in all, rivalries are good; they motivate people to do better and fight their perceived rivals, however Slamz is completely right - A PvP game without rivalry will be boring beyond comparison. I implore my fellow captains to be gracious in defeat, and humble in victory to help rebuild our server back to over 1000 players a night.
  9. Then why did you even attack the port? The Americans would simply lead a battle fleet straight to Mortimer and we'd have a brilliant time pvp'ing. You could have done that. But instead you hide the fact that we kept your flag in battle for a consecutive 30-50 minutes and thus you were unable to start the attack.
  10. The thing is Roberts, a basic victory is a hell of a lot better than a basic cutter.
  11. My clan that I'm a part of AUSNZ, NO & a few new ones have sprung up in the past day or so. It shall be quite interesting to see the outcome, now that all pirates are once again back around Mortimer Town.
  12. Quite a number of pirates on our server have taken their offer for a home on PvP 1, from what I hear only 2 formerly small clans remain
  13. At least the British retain the same spitefulness on both PVP 1 & 2. All I want (as a scurvy pirate dog arr matey) is for pirates to be just that - Pirates. None of this port business just Rum, Gold and Women all around!
  14. Some of us still remain loyal to the black, not many however. I'd say a good 30-40 remain active whilst the rest have re-rolled or become inactive :|
  15. Aye, the Danes lost most of their player base quite a while ago I heard. And why do the British Empire feel so strongly about defeating a nation with only 18 players? Furthermore, why are ports in puerto rico to be given to the Danes? Have we forgotten that they took it from the Spanish? So why are you not restoring the ports of it's original owners. At least be honest and say you Brits would just like to take them instead of spinning a tale.
  16. Have fun new Frankish 4th - 3rd rate captains we wish you well in your endeavours good sirs. Just beware that now you've only two ports to actually dock your vessels & a zerg of pirates who want to defend our new acquisitions
  17. Aye, Alliances are very messy without the proper diplomacy. I'm very Interested to see what will happen with the pirates regarding diplomatic action.
  18. Yeah I'm sticking around, however many ppl are still leaving :/
  19. Anyways, we will see what alpha has to bring to this situation, if the capital is moved that'd be good. Havana is a rich but terrible spot for a capital with it being so close to everyone else. If not, I hear French New Orleans is good this time of year...
  20. Cause i'm not suicidal
  21. I don't care for your replies. The fact is that over the past few weeks, people have been leaving the faction and going pirate, so I may reroll, I may join them but this is how spain died on pvp1: only very few of us were ever willing to defend. We had heaps of people wanting to attack, but that was unsustainable. (they all defected cause we tried to explain that we don't need ports)
  22. Thanks guys. Hope it was fun for you.
  23. New Edition
  24. New edition, rather unenthusiastic one if I'm honest, given the current state of the Spanish Playerbase....
