Maybe already mentioned but, make the battle instance more alive. Pleas Add; - some static things on the deck - some officers, marines and sailors on the deck. Static or animated doesn’t matter but something? it looks really empty on the top deck’s - give the guns recoil, and let them be runned out when reloaded. And ditch the enemy’s reloading and reloaded guns UI

Flags, Ensigns, Banners

think we are going to regret this thonys, imagine swastica's, specific male & female body parts etc etc are going to show up. How many time i have reported people for "beeing creative" with their emblem on battlefield to sneak in a swastica for their strong feelings for neo nazism is a lot. "Buddah sign my ass, mister smarty pans" i only want historical flags only. -

Battle Sails! GIVE THEM A USE!!!!!!
Jacob van Heemskerck replied to Hodo's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
On point 1) increase turnrate, • does this work in real life aswel? •And does the battlesails give such a speed reduction by pulling up you main sails? •And does the upgrade to unity 5, give you that "magic" so the animations are well integrated into the sequences? -
New Player Retention

First things firts, the person above me is a imposter ^ Just join PvE server a whole server dedicated for this, once you get the game mechanics you can join the PvP. And still rookie or no rookie once you join PvP ganking is always present, unless the ROE sytem is overhauled. If you do join the PvP server rules are very clear to succeed; •join a Clan •only sail with a bunch of people •stay active by playing NA a lot -
I would really like to see more keybinds to the default F5 key (stop reloading). As is now you must aim with the mouse to port, starboard, stern & bow side and press F5 to stop reloading and manage the crew to other guns. It would be a lot easier to just press a button (F5 Stern) (F6 port) (F7 starboard) (F8 bow) to manage gun crew and keep a better insight to manouvering your ship, instead of aiming all over place with your mouse? As always with a big please ofcourse and my thanks in advance.

Battle Sails! GIVE THEM A USE!!!!!!
Jacob van Heemskerck replied to Hodo's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I like the idea of giving the battle sails more function when a fire mechanic is already added to the game and it has a dedicated keyboard key binding to it, now it seems only a use to reduce ship speed or keep at low speed at the moment. And like the OP said the idea to reduce sail crew needed when sails are not beeing used seems a big compliment to the crew management during battle. Crew and material management should be more decisive who win's or loses a battle/duel, in my humble opinion. I'll give these idea's most definetly a upvote. -
No, of course i didn't buy all the key's of my clan, i own just one, As it is intended to be. I just see it this way, and i'm going to use a simple board game reference here called monopoly (everyone knows monopoly) How would you experience a game of monopoly with friends or family or both, if 1 or more are cheating, exploiting to get an advantage in order to win the game more easily or have more fun? it ruins it for everyone except the exploiter(s) or cheater(s). What i see happening here with naval action is that some players are using a legal exploit by buying multiple accounts for their own use, in order to make it themselves easier to craft, trade and to the end build bigger fleets with better vessels, to conquer Attacking/defending fleets and ports with valuable resources. Now i said legal exploit, because nobody is going to forbid people to buy the game, that is just impossible! but it's none the less an exploit, it's giving that player an unfair advantage on other players who just bought the game to play it like it is intended to play it. and on top off that, the developers as i can see it, are working hard trying to balance/prevent: fast bulk building of ships especially SOL's earn loads of gold in a short amount of time unbalanced trading steamrolling the capturing of ports unbalanced nations (imagine that a nation is 3/10 populated with alternative accounts) and promote: playing as team, clan fair & balanced gameplay in general And with buying multiple accounts for your own use, you just throw that hard work completely overboard and set sail on your own ''balanced'' course. A waste of the developers time if you ask me? But there is one upside to this and that is that Game-Labs have more income. and that going to benefit us all. The most gamers scream murder and fire when it comes down to the ''pay to win'' style of game development, and that is just what this basically is, or more like ''pay to get an advantage'' i would like to see that multiple accounts will become obsolete in future patches, but it will be sure that it comes with cost of other great features. But you are free to do what you do, if you play by the book, this is just mine opinion about the matter.

Is NA moving to Unity 5?
Jacob van Heemskerck replied to Kerdh's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
I don't know which naval rank stood behind the wheel in english? In Dutch it's called a "stuurman" but if there are crew on the guns there must be somebody behind the wheel!? I understand that a game engine has it's limits, but with unity 5 maybe whe can see some more detail on those already beautiful ship's, and not only crew but put some objects on dek to, it looks so clean. -
Have you, maybe, considerd to buy enough key's so you can start a whole clan? Maybe steam can throw in a bulk discount if you buy like a whole bunch of them? Besides that i'm looking forward for the upcoming changes especially the update to unity 5. I've been away for a while and now that i have time, i'm back on naval action again.

Is NA moving to Unity 5?
Jacob van Heemskerck replied to Kerdh's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Not only that, i would like to see at least a captain on dek and first mate on the rudder and crew on dek, working on de rigging. The ships look beautifull but they look deserted (except for the gun crew). And if the statement on better animations at a low cost of FPS is true, this game is going from a beautifull to a very beautifull game. Imaging seeing the gun's recoil pushing them back in. So i wait patiently, and already happy that the developers are willing to udate unity 4 to unity 5 so maybe these kind of things are possible in the future of Naval Action. -

I really can't believe that many people whould think that here on the Naval Action forum's? i really thought this forum is more mature than a COD or Battlefield forum or ingame chat? "filthy Casual'' comes usually with ''console peasants'' ''Pc Master race'' etc. etc., and i assume these people are of age that can be easely be pointed on the clock, and they have to go to bed after sesame street. or, there is something seriously wrong with their way of thinking and/or communicating? i bet they won't say it straight to me in person without a forum and 2 screens between us? like the OP said, and i answered, according to this a very reasonable explanation why i'm not playing Naval Action that much. without any grief or hate towards players/other forum users, or hate towards game mecahnics or developers. in fact i love the game mechanics as realistic as possible (stil hoping for dynamic windspeeds & leeway). but the fact is, it's very time consuming. maybe I did not understand your reply. And if i am, i'm sorry for that, but if my concerns are worth nothing, don't reply, because like you said they are worth nothing. -

I'm not going to leave, and i never left. I'm just barely there, because the thing is with this beautiful game it's very time consuming. It's not like i'm playing for like 1 or 2 hours, or i'm playing 3 or 4 matches. No i must sit there for the whole ride, and it's not a bad thing but it's just a fact! Example; Doing missions for gold and XP, buy/trade materials for building a ship or buy a ship with A LOT of gold, save up to labour hours to build a ship, find the right person who can build the ship. So with all that i let someone build me a exceptional Pavel (2 dura), Now here comes the thing! I go for a "quick mission" near my capital to "test my Pavel with less guns and different upgrades" i had one hour to play. After i had done the mission i wanted to head back and i'm getting tagged by 4 enemy ships ( 2x renommee 1 suprise and 1 trinc) a good challenge against a pavel and for me a fun match, downside is no time left . I played until my time was up i had a tie match imo, but i had to surrender because lack of time. I excused myself to my opponents for leaving the battle 1/2 way. So 1 dura lost, a potential great match lost. And this why hover with mouse above the Naval Action icon on my desktop, and look at my clock and think "neh, Unfortunately not enough time". And play a couple of battlefront or battlefield 4 matches. So i still like the game with the current game mechanics, i just don't have enough time to enjoy it at it's fullest. And i think many people experience the same problem i have? -
I really like the idea of the implementation of various wind strenghts, various ships would be used again and it'more dynamic gameplay. but the chasers should be available for all ships who has the abililty to hoist them up the front deck. As some people suggested, it would be a great idea to remove the 1 or 2 guns from the upperdecks from port and starboard side and place them on the front deck. This would take some time and Guncrew and the loss of 1 or 2 guns on the sides of the ship ofcourse, how much time and crew that is a matter of balance. And siphon the crew from guncrew into survival or repair slot? But i am against a total removal of chasers. I don't know where this strange idea comes from in the first place? I hope it is not coming from people who are getting kept in battle because of the chasers keeping them there, thats where they are designed for.
