  1. Words are nothing with no evidence to back them up. You might as well be singing Kumbuya. It's just as irrelevant. The devs are only saying it's not an exploit because they can't be bothered to fix it. It doesn't change a thing. People are exploiting a flaw in the game to give themselves an advantage. It is what it is, no matter who tells it.
  2. If the Brits used the exploit, then it's up to other people to make it known, assuming it even happened and you're not just lying to make your point. NOBODY should be allowed to use it, and every nation should be allowed to screen for their PBs. Making the excuse "we're smaller" doesn't make it right. Nation balance is another issue altogether. Stop using it to justify using an exploit. If someone chooses to join a smaller nation than the ones they're attacking, it's up to them to get help from their allies. If you can't field enough ships, then don't try to attack the port. Basically, your whole argument here is "boo hoo, we're a smaller nation and it's not fair, so we're allowed to cheat and nobody has the right to criticise us for it"
  3. If you're talking about Bridgetown, we had outposts there and nearby, plus we had a lot of help from the Dutchies. Brits didn't have 100 ships there, and we certainly didn't use this exploit.
  4. I didn't forget. I didn't even know
  5. The solution has been proposed, yet you seem unwilling to implement it. A simple timer will make all the difference. How is exploiting a flaw in the game design NOT considered an exploit? It IS, by definition. The attackers who use this exploit, which will be everyone at every port battle until you decide it's actually worth fixing, are given free entry to the battle. No point in screening at all. They can circumvent a huge proportion of the defender's defenses, thus increasing their chances of taking the port. Pre-logging favours the attacker. It's an exploit. Remember when a single basic cutter could drag the entire assault fleet into battle? Every nation did it and many ports were lost because of that exploit. This is just as serious and needs to be deal with swiftly. We're not asking for miracles, we're asking for a timer. It doesn't get much simpler than that. If you continue to deny the severity of this issue, and people start losing ports as a direct result of this exploit, they will start leaving. I find it hard to believe that you can't just announce emergency maintenance and add a timer that stops people benefiting from this exploit. With all the great things you've accomplished in the development of this game, a simple timer is a minor task at best.
  6. Since the patch, I've seen French, Spanish, Danes, and Pirates in British waters. Look harder.
  7. Devs could just wipe them if they are really that much of a problem
  8. A nearby hotfix or a longer wait for a full patch? People keep asking this in-game and I'd like to give them an answer
  9. Loving most of the patch. The weight system is kinda retarded. It needs tweaking because we're not happy about having to make so many trips to move anything resembling a large amount. On the subject of weight, since when does gutting fish to turn it into fish meat actually increase the weight? I liked it the way it was just before the patch. It made more sense. You gut the fish, throw away the waste, and you're left with a lighter product. Currently: convert a 0.50 fish to 2.40 fish meat. This is very broken. Some people complaining in-game but nobody offering solutions. Best to ignore them.
  10. Why is the rum always gone?

  11. Exceptional, teak, crew space, speed, 3/5.
  12. Nope. Person 1: "a teak bucentaure..." Person 2: "yeah f***ing worthless" Me: "it's a free ship, don't be so f***ing ungrateful" No more complaints
  13. People already complaining in nation chat that their free ship isn't good enough
